Stripped Down Nike Air Max / Zoom LeBron 8 P.S. Weights 15oz. »
The V1 and V2 LeBron 8’s are in the past. Today, we look at the future. In less than a month, LeBron James will begin his first Playoff campaign as a member of the Miami Heat. He will also be wearing new shoes… special Post Season edition. The Nike LeBron 8 P.S. is a stripped down version of the V1 and V2. V2 is one ounce lighter than the V1, but the P.S. is additional 1.5+ ounces lighter (see weightionary for actual numbers). Basically it weights just as much as last year’s LeBron VII P.S., but offers so much more. It might seem it’s just another Zoom/Max basketball shoe, like f.e. the Soldier IV, but the Air Max unit in the heel is brand new. It’s basically a 3/4 (270 degree) version of the full length bag that is in the V1 and V2. The airbag in the Soldier IV is the same basic bag that’s been around for years, and doesn’t have nearly the amount of air the new LeBron bag has. Additionally, the new midfoot moderator plate protects the foot and allows for a better transition between Air Max and Zoom. Now you get the best of both worlds, the protection of that new airbag combined with the quick response of zoom-bridged by this specially engineered plate. It might not be the lightest shoe on the market, but given the amount of features and pure performance it really is a beast on the court. Only 3 weeks left…
