Nike Air Max LeBron VII – Flywire vs. NFW – Weight Comparison »

Seems like the common myth regarding LBJ’s shoes being heavy is no longer in effect. However, with the recently established trend of making kicks lighter than Air (f.e. Zoom Kobe IV or Air Max Spot Up(!)), other Nike shoes still leave them far behind. In our official weight in of Nike Air Max LeBron VII’s we measured them at 17.65-17.85 oz. depending on the given colorway (size 10US). Now as we’ve received the first NFW version, we would like to answer the question “How light is Flywire?”. Please note, that the Red Carpet LBJ7 used for this comparison is size 10.5, but despite that our scale displayed 17.75 oz., which is exactly in between MTAG’s and Chinas (both half size smaller). Disregarding that minor difference in size and the margin of error it’s safe to say they all weight the same. So what about Flywire’s marvelous properties? Hopefully they do make shoes stronger, which is immeasurable, cause the lighter thing is hard to believe now. Woven is also light, and seems like it could withstand a game of basketball. We still hope for an all leather version, which would answer more questions.
