King James Does It Again. LeBron Records His 4th Triple-Double. »
The Cavaliers have now topped 23 straight sub .500 squads, but it took the them just over 43 minutes to throw the switch in Detroit. LeBron James was shaky early and spectacular late. James had 29 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists for his fourth triple-double of the season (28th career), lifting the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 113-101 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night. “Every point, rebound and assist was needed” Cavs coach Mike Brown said. “In the fourth quarter, we made our mark,” LeBron said. “That’s closeout time for me.” He also said triple-doubles are “absolutely” his favorite accomplishment other than winning. “That means you’re doing everything your team needs to win basketball games,” James said. “That is one of the best things you can have as an individual.” LeBron’s stat line of 29-12-12 against Detroit was the 23rd time in his career he’s had at least 25-10-10 in a game. That’s one more than Michael Jordan had in his career. The most 25-10-10 games since the ABA-NBA merger is 40 by Magic Johnson.
