One night can be written of as a fluke, but now Cleveland fans have to be worried. Armed with amazing team defense, the Celtics have cut off LeBron James from the lane and successfully forced him to settle for outside jump shots for two full games. James was named to the All-NBA First Team, but has looked anything but in this series — shooting 8-of-42, or just 19 percent, from the floor.
“Being down 0-2, that’s a tough hole to dig yourself out of. But if we want to win the series we’ve got to do it,” James said, noting the Cavaliers lost the first two games to Detroit in last year’s playoffs but won four straight to reach the NBA Finals. “We’ve been in this situation before,” said James, who offered encouragement along the bench as the final seconds ticked off. “I’ve got to let them know that I’m not frustrated.”
