Unwrapping the Nike Zoom Soldier III from a ZLVI Drawer Box »

There are couple interesting facts about the latest LeBron James signature shoes – Nike Zoom Soldier III. First, it’s actually the LIGHTEST Zoom LBJ sneaker ever!!! Not lightest since the AZG like the Six, but other shoes don’t come even close. In my size (10US) it weights just below 400 grams (398), while the Hyperdunk has been listed at 388. It’s very close, but there are no compromises like for example Lunar Foam or Flywire. So expect the cushy Zoom Air unit (front and back), amazing lockdown due to midfoot straps and very solid traction as well. The fit is rather narrow, but compared to the ZLVI the sizing is similar. However, some of you might consider going half size up. Second, the box is exactly the same as the VI’s. Down to every single detail including the tissue paper. It’s nice to see an elegant black drawer box instead of the regular orange Nike boxes. Enjoy couple new pics from our friend RaNdZ4937. We will post some more photos in the upcoming days including an update in the weightionary plus the first impression after some tests on the hardwood.

the question i have is why are they making lebrons slimmer?? isnt lebron a big dude arent these supposed to be the perfect b ball shoe for big cats? the VI kill my feet where the mid foot strap is at maybe its just me but i did like that at all, dont get me wrong that didnt stop me from coppin but very inconvenient width

well, lebron did say he wants shoes that are tight around the ankle. maybe nike hasn’t found a way of doing that without making the shoe narrow.

Actually it’s been said that Bron’s feet are also narrow. So that’s why they make his shoes this way. In general most LeBrons have a narrow fit, I think. I will try to do some comparison pics and post them soon, but it might be after the Easter, cause I am leaving tomorrow for the holiday.

I’ve got a narrow foot so when I realize that the IV (despite the outward appearance) and the V fit snug… somethings up! Granted, both those shoes had amazing sock-liners that would likely give that “feel” anyway. I never picked up the VI but tried it on a few times and it definitely did not have that snug fit. I’ve got 2 pair of the ZS II… they’re just doing everything right with the Soldier once they got past the ZS 1.

they are real narrow – i wear between a 10.5 – 11.5 depending on the series…there was no way a 10.5 fir me in the IVs but the V was great, whereas i need a 11.5 for the VIs b/c of that toe-strap

and greg, yea i think im gonna peep those Dunkmans, may not buy em though. we’ll see what they look like

  • ENDs

i knew i was not the only one that was feeling the pain of the VI, but yeah this shoe looks real big and bulky but they are really tight in the midfoot strap area and im not bout to get half size bigger cuz then ima look like a clown i already go half size up to be comfortable anyways, well the shoes are def, sick just hop the great designs keep coming and the comfort gets a lil better. Thanks for the responses erybody!!

I was just at Dicks sporting goods in the cleveland area and was suprised to see that the Soldier 3 was already on the shelves! I thought they werent dropping till the 17th!?!? Anyway, I tried them on and they were so light it was almost like I was wearing nothing…the thing is the support the shoe provides is still great like every other Lebron sneaker…I highly recommend this shoe for anyone who is serious about b-ball or just a LBJ fan!!

I got these shoes 3 days ago and love them. I would post pictures, but I already wore em outside. (They’re not messed up, the bottom is just a bit dirty).
