Nike Air Phantom – LeBron’s Next Sig Shoe – Possible Image »

With news like this there’s not much to say, really. Here’s the first image showing the upcoming Air Phantom. There are a lot of similarities between these and Nike’s previous basketball sneakers. For example… Nike Zoom BB 2 (collar) and even the Zoom Power (bottom). Of course, there’s a huge Swoosh present, which seems to be a standard in Nike shoes recently. Here are the specs. What do you think? Do you like this design? Please let us know. Photo provided by NT member fresh83.

looks like a mix of the hyperdunk and the lebron 4

  • mOe23

To me the design seems to be a mix of Lebron 4, Soldier 2 and much designs from the last kicks of Kobe the Air huarache by kobe and those translucent pinkish area probably might be some sort of the flywire like those in hyperdunks??. Much more of a replica of zoom lebron 4 mix with Air hurache for me.

*praying hard* Please no Flywire, please no flywire, please no flywire.
Flywire is way too weak for players with some real weight.
And they should design an original shoe for LeBron, not some sort of hybrid like this.

For being called “very VERY good” i think nike could do better. It seems like nike is sticking with previous designs an just mixing them together. For the lebron 7 i want to see somethin crazy and fresh u know add some more flavor to the line before people get bored wit lebrons

    OMG! they look ugly!
c’mon Nike! It’s Lebron not some average player!

  • 4DRUMZ

This is NOT the VII for every obvious reason… UN-ORIGINAL! Is this seriously the shoe that is supposed to reassure LBJ to stay with NIKE? Yeah, they’ve got more creative juice than this sub-par offering!

  • ironbron23

they should consult the king himself-ask him what he needs to support his weight and performance.ask him for his inputs regarding designs, colorways, etc. because anyway it’s his last shoe before he decide whether to re-sign or to go.they might give him more freedom for suggestions to the shoe that he will actually be proud to wear.this possible design for VII lacks originality.

I agree with you Nene… but I really hope Nike will learn how to use this technology right.

That’s how I feel as well.

Looks like a futuristic Zoom Lebron VI but the VII is probably going to be like the Zoom Lebron VI and end up fresh and worth the money Believe that

  • Zack Mofus

    Beautiful

  • L23 With Big Z

For now i’m not really liking the whole idea and everything about the shoe but for some weird reason reminds me of a mix of The “Zoom Power” that was going to be the VI and Nike Hyperdunk, sort of a mix

Why does Nike suck so hard now?

  • TrillistG

    “OMG! they look ugly!”

“Why does Nike suck so hard now?”

when they drop you know ur going to regret sayin that

every year people say the shoe is ugly an nike messed up.. personally i love em’ an nike knows what they’re doing.

  • Dunkman

c’mon we all know that the finished product will look totally different from the picture…for example the lebron Vi’s..so lets be patient and see what Nike does to these…it does need some work.
