Release Date Reminder: Playoffs Zoom Soldier II »

Next week, Nike is set to release the much anticipated “Playoff” Black/White/Red Zoom Soldier II colorway. It’s already the second ZSII colorway, after the initial White/Navy/Red hit the stores last last month. The much anticipated colorway has been introduced by LeBron James in this year’s NBA Playoffs as his road games shoe. Updated from the previous Nike Zoom Soldier shoe, the ZSII has a new upper and outsole design set on heel and forefoot Zoom Air units for low-profile responsive cushioning. The outsole pattern was inspired by LeBron’s childhood growing up on Hickory street, playing hoops with a milk crate as the basket. Check our more pics of the releasing product below. From time to time, here on NLB.net, we show you various collections completed by LeBron James shoes’ fans. Recently we showed you DoubleO’s and Visrael’s SVSM theme sets and it’s hard not to mention Abt with his spectacular Dunkman collection. You don’t have to buy PEs to achieve something like this… GRs are just as exciting… for example look here. For the past two years, apart from the Home, Away and Alternate matching shoes, LeBron James has been sporting a special Hardwood Classic colorway commemorating Cavs’ 1986-87 season. It also matches popular New York Knicks team colors. His two home colorways plus last year’s the Birthday exclusive make a nice pack. New Gallery Complete Nike Zoom LeBron V Showcase »

For those, who are not familiar with our photo gallery system here’s a quick tutorial. In general every Nike LeBron model, featured on this website, has three different albums – Listing, Gallery and Showcase. Listing lists all the known shoes, at least the ones, which leaked to the Internet. Gallery is where all the other pics are being kept… from General Release to Player Exclusive and Samples. The final Showcase is special cause it’s separated from the Gallery and the idea behind it is to show all the GR models from various angles. It’s complementary to our Fake Guides section, which contains various tips on how to spot a fake. The showcase should help you by showing most of the released LeBrons on a real pics. Anticipated Nike Zoom Soldier II Black White Red »

In a little over one week the anticipated Zoom Soldier II colorway – 318694-101 White/Black-Varsity Crimson-Metallic Gold – will hit the stores. It’s one of the three colorways that LeBron James used during his 2008 NBA Playoffs. He wore this version to match with Cavaliers’ away jerseys. At first the shoe was supposed to look like this, but Nike dropped the camo sole concept and the new design has an all white outsole. Pics of the releasing product courtesy of jordan8420.com.

Nike Zoom Soldier II Elite Team Basketball Sample »

Last year, after releasing the Zoom Soldier I in the summer, Nike released four team colorways in the fall as the basketball season usually starts. Nike LeBron’s latest Zoom Soldier II is said to be released in several team colorways this year as well, but more versions are rumored to drop. We mentioned about it back in January. Actually there are a few samples around and the first live pics of the Solider II, that we posted some time ago, featured one of the mentioned team shoes. Soldier II Elite TB is easy to distinguish cause they have an Elite logo on the tongue instead of LeBron’s Win-Fearless-Vision-Family-Passion circle. In the Trick Shot Challenge, everyone from playground legends to backyard ballers are encouraged to upload their best trick shot to LeBronsTrickShotChallenge.com by June 28, 2008 for a chance to compete, one-on-one, against King James and fill their garage with $5,000 in the Cub Cadet lawn equipment of their choice. All of the contestants’ trick shot videos will be available on the Web site’s online gallery where fans can view and vote for their favorite trick shot. Whether a contestant or not, anyone over the age of 13 that registers on LeBronsTrickShotChallenge.com is automatically entered to win $5,000 in cash or signed LeBron James merchandise in a sweepstakes drawing on or around August 4, 2008.
