The Miami Heat jumped out to a big lead (18-2) in the first quarter and then held off a furious Oklahoma City rally to beat the Thunder 100-96 and tie the NBA Finals at 1-1 heading to south Florida. The Thunder got back to within two points and had a chance to tie the game in the closing seconds, but a shot by Kevin Durant bounced off the rim. The stars for both teams shined bright. James and Durant led all scorers with 32 apiece. James also had eight rebounds and five assists with 12 of his points coming at the free throw line, including the last two of the game, which must have felt good. LeBron played like a man possessed much of the game, assaulting the rim relentlessly and pounding the post. After the Heat settled for too many jumpers in Game 1, James got back to his natural habitat in the basket area. This LeBron vs. Durant matchup is so electrifying. King James wore the regular Away colorway of the LEBRON 9 Elite to match Miami’s black uniforms.
