Nike LeBron 9 Low “Liverpool FC” That’s Ready for Anfield Road »
Last year, LeBron James secured a minority stake in Liverpool after cutting a deal with the club’s US owner. Fenway Sports Group, which also owns baseball’s Boston Red Sox, struck an agreement with James’s sports-marketing firm, LRMR Branding & Marketing, to be the representative for the Miami Heat player around the world. In return James became a minority owner in Liverpool. He said he was “excited to be affiliated with this incredible organisation” and looked forward to donning a red shirt and visiting Anfield, which he finally did in October of last year. Of course, it didn’t take long for Nike to recognize this opportunity and prepare a commemorative colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 Low in Red and Green… ish. For much of Liverpool’s history its home colors have been all red therefore the shoe is predominantly Red as well. Complementary Green is a symbol of the liver bird that was adopted as the club’s crest, which is located on the heel of the shoe. The bottom of the shoe features a translucent outsole with 18 trophies representing 18 Football League First Division championship titles.
