Most Valuable Player
Information
In 2009, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James accepted his first NBA Most Valuable Player award in the gym at the Saint Vincent Saint Mary High School in Akron, where he made a name for himself. In 2010, James, still a Cavalier, accepted his second MVP at the University of Akron, where SVSM moved its games when the crowds became too large. In 2012, James accepted his third MVP at American Airlines Arena in Miami, where he now plays as a member of the Miami Heat. Each year, in order to celebrate LeBron’s achievements, Nike Basketball released special MVP colorways of his current signature sneakers. However, even in his third season LeBron James was very close to winning his first NBA MVP award and Nike was also prepared with the Superman version of the Zoom LeBron III. Not many people know about that, though. Additionally in 2011, when he came third in the MVP race, Nike designed a sample version of the Nike LeBron 8 V/2 with the MVP logos on the back. Now with all three MVP trophies validated with his first ever NBA Championship we anxiously await the release of MVP 9’s.
