Miami’s winning streak was in danger of disappearing in Cleveland, of all places. But LeBron James wouldn’t give up. “That guy right there doesn’t want to lose in this building,” teammate Dwyane Wade said, nodding toward James, who left many angry Cavaliers fans behind when he bolted for Miami as a free agent three years ago. “Not tonight.” James scored 25 points as the Miami Heat overcame a 27-point deficit in the third quarter and won their 24th straight game, 98-95 over the short-handed Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night to extend the second-longest winning streak in NBA history. LeBron James scored 19 of his game-high 25 points in the second half and ended the game with his fourth triple-double of the season. LBJ arrived at the Q wearing a throwback shoe – the Nike Zoom LeBron VI Fairfax Away PE. This is the first time for him to break out a shoe from the previous years. He did wear Fairfax Homes back in 2009. For the second half he debuted a new Player Exclusive version of the Nike LeBron X dressed up in Silver & Black. Continue reading for close ups.

Nike Basketball has released special MVP shoes each year LeBron James won the award. In 2009, in was the “Witness” themed Zoom LeBron VI that incorporated a crackled leather upper. In 2010, it was actually two shoes – Air Max LeBron VII and LeBron VII P.S. – both sporting the same theme. Now we await the release of his newest MVP sneakers featuring the Miami Heat team colors on a very interesting gradient upper. Initially, they were slated for June, but Nike still hasn’t confirmed with a valid release date yet. Stay tuned for updates and check out the latest collection page for the MVP theme, which includes a couple of unreleased styles.

For our Valentine’s Day special let’s take a detailed look at yet another “Think Pink” shoe from the LeBron James signature collection. Nike has made a habit of releasing Pink LeBrons only in Kids sizes, unless they’re a part of the Soldier line when they do drop in Women’s too (which after 1.5+ size conversion equals Men’s). The presented shoe is the Nike Zoom LeBron VI, which is a true Player Exclusive. It didn’t release to public in any shape or form. This pair was spotted on eBay couple weeks ago and seems like those are the only pics on the net.

The whole All-star collection from Nike X LeBron James is available here. Although it’s already the 8th installment and the main theme stays the same (Bluish Eastern Conference), each shoe possesses its own identity. This year’s edition features a Royal Blue faded upper. It was two years ago when the fade element was introduced to LeBron’s ASG kicks for the first time. The Zoom LeBron VI All-star edition consisted of various shades of blue with Navy Blue, Light Blue and Royal Blue fade around the toebox. See more pics after the break.

LeBron James is a community man. Numerous sponsorships, basketball skills camps, community events (f.e. the annual Bikeathlon), etc. The LeBron James Skills Academy is back at the University of Akron, which was also the stage of unveiling both… Zoom Soldier IV and Air Max LeBron VIII. When you play under the name of LeBron James, whether it’s the Skills Academy, or the King City Classic, or LeBron James Shooting Stars… you’re bound to have nice kicks. Take a look at some of Nike LeBrons created for his special teams/events. Too bad they never release to public. Courtesy of Zach13g.

The Ohio State University was one of the first schools equipped by Nike’s LeBron brand. It was in fact the first college team to sport the famous L23 logo on their uniforms, and shoes, of course. However, this year a strange thing has happened. After repping the OSU with several insanely hot colorways each season, Nike “forgot” to make them a Special Make Up of the Air Max LeBron VII. The Buckeyes were “forced” to wear the White/Red NFW GR. Some of their players, who were a little bit more creative laced up the Grey/Crimson TB, but without any team logo. Despite that we decided to include the VII in The Collection, but that felt weird. Anyway, we’re glad that someone has decided to track down every single pair of the OSU’s. His name is Zach and you might have seen his work. It’s pretty impressive. Continue reading for more photos.

The Stewie Six was a special make up created by Nike for LeBron James… exclusively. Of course the inspiration for these shoes was Stewie Griffin – a cartoon character from Seth MacFarlane’s “The Family Guy”. Absolutely animated and dressed in Stewie’s signature colors, the LeBron VI’s are cell shaded and feature deep black outlines that are stylistically Family Guy. The toe portion of the shoe is dressed in Stewie’s yellow shirt and matching red overalls, and the blue accents on the midsoles are derived from his shoes. His evil eyes are hiding behind the tongue. While these kicks are definitely awesome, they are considered to be unreleased samples and will most likely never see the daylight. Click here to see the previous photos.

Unlike the Air Max LeBron VII, it seems like the last year’s model of LeBron’s signature shoes came out in a significantly bigger number of colorways. Don’t get me wrong, I know it’s one of those things when we complain about too many shoes one year (ZLVI) and then we’re not completely satisfied when they do the opposite (AMLVII). Still, the VII has been released in 15+ different variations (not counting all MTAG’s), but feels like Nike took a break slightly too soon. Maybe it’s because we want to see some of those beautiful shoes from the Heroes Pack or any of the HWC’s available to public. Either way, our last hope is the MVP edition. Of course there’s no official information, because the award needs to be officially announced first. However, I don’t see it any other way. The question is will we see a new shoe or one of these. Check out new photos of the Zoom LeBron VI in a Los Angeles colorway from last year’s City Pack. One of those energy releases we are missing this season. It’s the Sample version featuring a “Rainbow Dunkman” logo on the back of the shoe.
