Throwback Thursday: LEBRON VII “Heroes Pack” Jordan PE »

One of the most intriguing stories focused on signature sneakers of the modern era was the so called “Heroes Pack” created for the Air Max LeBron VII. Designed by Jason Petrie and his team, the Heroes Pack was a tribute to LeBron James and his childhood idols – Deion Sanders, Penny Hardaway, and Michael Jordan. The Jordan pair was inspired by the Air Jordan XI, which judged by the recent events is still ultra-popular among sneakerheads. We can only imagine what it would be like if the LeBron X Jordan make up was actually released to public. Hopefully the Ken Griffey Jr’s won’t suffer a similar fate.

Throwback Thursday: Nike LeBron VII “Penny” Alternate PE »

One of Nike’s best ideas was creating the Heroes Pack for the Nike Air Max LeBron VII. One of their worst ideas was not releasing it to public! The Heroes Pack consists of three pairs, each commemorating one of LeBron James’ childhood idols – Michael Jordan, Deion Sanders, and Penny Hardaway. There were two versions of the Jordan pair, but there are also two of Penny’s. Pretty much the only difference between them are the Orlando Magic-esque stripes on the air max unit. Seriously, I will never get over these.

King’s Feet: LeBron James Goes Red on Allstar Media Day. Wears Deion LeBron VII PE. »

During yesterday’s NBA Allstar Media Day, LeBron James sported a very interesting look by wearing a red sweatshirt featuring his new WITNESS logo surrounded by two lions. Additionally, he decided to match it with a pair of red shoes, of course. He selected a last year’s model – the Air Max LeBron VII – in a Deion Sanders inspired colorway from the Heroes Pack. Sadly, the shoes did not drop to public. LBJ probably wanted to introduce them himself. Continue reading for more photos from Los Angeles.

Air Max LeBron VII “Heroes Pack” Penny Hardaway – New Photos »

There are a lot of photos presenting the LeBron VII Heroes Pack, but somehow the Penny pair has been hiding very well… until now, that is. The Heroes Pack consists of three shoes, inspired by each of LeBron’s childhood idols – Michael Jordan, Deion Sanders and Anfernee Hardaway. The Penny pair resembles classic Orlando Magic sneakers personalized for Mr. Hardaway. Of course, the biggest issue with these shoes is the fact they were made for LeBron & his close friends and chances of getting a pair are close to zero. They are simply too nice. Big Nike Swoosh underneath the sole is definitely a nice touch for Penny’s! Shout out to Lilpennymagicfan. Continue reading for more photos including all other shoes from the pack.

Nike LeBron VII “Heroes Pack” Deion Sanders Player Exclusive »

Deion Sanders, Michael Jordan, and Anfernee Hardaway are LeBron James’ childhood idols. Nike created the Heroes Pack, which consists of three special make ups of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII. Unfortunately, none of them are available to public, but the shoes are pretty nice. In fact, they are so nice, that it makes much more difficult to understand why in the world they weren’t released. Seems like the demand is very high though, because one pair has surfaced eBay and it’s already fetching very big numbers.

Air Max LeBron VII “Heroes Pack” Deion Sanders – New Photos »

The idea of releasing a free agency pack for each city involved in LeBron James trade talk is horrendous, but it doesn’t sound so bad when you consider the number of LeBrons available this year. The rumor is most likely to be false anyway. What I would like to see it the Heroes Pack available to public. Michael Jordan, Anfernee Hardaway and Deion Sanders represented by their own colorways of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII. WOW. If they’re LeBron’s true heroes then please let us have them, Nike. Sadly, they are all Player Exclusives reserved for LeBron’s Friends & Family. New photos of the Deions after the jump.

MVPs Join Unreleased Pack – What it Could Have Been LeBron VIIs »

The Nike LeBron VII Listing‘s counter is currently at 80 different shoes/colorways. That includes the Post Season version, all More Than a Game variations, and even the Artist Series. Still, that’s a pretty big number for a shoe that costs $160. Even though Nike did release 17 styles of the AMLVII and couple more PS’s, we simply can’t get over some of the shoes that have remained under wraps. Sadly, the recently unveiled MVP Edition has joined the unreleased pack. The first photo you can see below comes from the Sneaker Friends 2010 (DJCK’s collection) and it’s a great example showing shoes that most likely won’t be made available to public. While Fairfax’s and SVSM’s are easy to let go, the loss of the HWC’s & Heroes Pack & Kentuckys is devastating. All these shoes are a great material for an energy drop and I’m sure our readers would agree with that. It’s difficult to complain being a LeBron James fan. Nike has been hooking us up well. However, they have also made us that way and we want more! Rant over.

Heroes Pack – Air Max LeBron VII Deion “Primetime” Sanders »

Penny’s and Jordan’s Air Max LeBron VII’s have been profiled left and right. Especialy the MJ colorway (both versions). However, to so called Heroes Pack consists of three shoes. The third colorway represents Deion “Primetime” Sanders – a former National Football League cornerback and Major League Baseball outfielder. Sanders is considered one of the most versatile athletes in history because he played two sports at multiple positions. Apparently, LeBron James idolized Neon Deion when he was a kid. Deion’s AMLVII in a little bit more flashy than the other two. It features a massive candy red patent leather upper. Also, the insole imitates a football field. More photos after the break.
