Nike Basketball used the Superhero concept to create the Elite 2.0 Collection, but sneaker customizers have been using that idea for quite a while now. This time it’s The Flash as Mache Custom Kicks unveils his latest pair of superhero-themed customs for the Nike LeBron X. Using the legendary “Flash” of DC Comics as inspiration the shoe features a red and yellow upper with bolt graphics scattered throughout and the Flash’s lightning bolt logo on the heel. These customs were made for New Orleans Hornets rookie Darius Miller, but it would be even more cool if Dwyane Wade would be the one to wear it, right?

Inspired by one of the most unique special make-ups, Mache Custom Kicks presents the Nike LeBron X Stewie. The whole design is reminiscent of the elusive Nike Zoom LeBron VI… drawing from the appearance of the Family Guy’s Stewie Griffin. The shoe sports a very colorful upper with Stewie himself lurking through the small panel on the medial side of the shoe. Check out machecustoms.com for more details on the availability of the shoes.

LeBron James has just broke out his Carmex inspired Nike LeBron X’s in the Madison Square Garden, and then switched again for a new PE in the second half, but maybe he should wear these instead. KSM Custom Kicks created the “New York Nights” make up channeling the popular “Miami Nights” theme. The shoes feature a Blue and Orange base, obviously, with black and orange confetti sprinkled around the upper. It will be a long time before we get to speculate if King James is going to change teams again, but those New York Knicks references will never go away, will they?

Custom kicks are a big thing these days. Very big when LeBron James himself tweets props for customizing his own kicks. Mache Customs has finally linked up with King James for the creation of the Ironman 3 make up of the Nike LeBron X. Turns out it was a personal request of LeBron. The 1-of-1 Ironman X’s come in a special carrying case and feature a Wine and Gold upper with Chrome panels and custom Stark Enterprise tongue tags.

If you’re a fan of customs kicks you will definitely enjoy these. The presented “Price is Right” colorway of the Nike LeBron X, created by Revive Customs, is a tribute to TV’s longest running game show. The shoes are based on a vibrant Nike LeBron X iD colorway. The “Price is Right” X’s include a dollar sign pattern on the back of the shoe along with “SHOWCASE” and “SHOWDOWN” along the ankle collars. Check out @ReviveCustoms if you’re interested in buying a pair. Right now only size 11.5 is up for grabs.

We’ve made you aware of Mache’s sick custom kicks designs more than once. He’s been a great contributor to the Nike LeBron collection, which is usually his focal point when creating custom colorways. Now it seems that LeBron James himself is very impressed with his latest work. This time Mache has created a Tranformers-inspired “Devastator” make up. The shoe combines Green, Black and Purple with a sick metal plate graphic on the heel and a custom Devastator tag on the tongue.

Check out Mache’s recent work, which includes 3 new styles. One of the shoes was inspired by the Mita Nike Trainer Dunk High. The next shoe pulls from the “Galaxy” Nike LeBron 9, so now we have the “Big Bang” LeBron X’s. Finally, Mache reached for the classics with the Chamber of Fear inspiration reflecting the Quickstrike Air Force 1 Low, the so called Hater colorway. It was released in very limited numbers back in 2005 at Niketown Denver. Which one is the most creative in your opinion?

It was only a few months ago when Matthew Walzer posted a letter addressed to Nike CEO Mark Parker about creating a shoe for those that face physical challenges when trying to tie their shoes. As a result of the #NIKELETTER, Matthew has been the recipient of a converted Nike Hyperdunk 2012 that allows greater mobility when it comes to lacing up his kicks. For their most recent sneaker for Matthew, Nike created a special version of the Nike LeBron X. The Nike LeBron X (MW) uses a zipper to replace the laces and a strap across the ankle for additional lock down and support. For more on the #NIKELETTER and Matthew’s cause, be sure to check out his original post over at 11ChampionshipsAndCounting.
