Introducing Nike LeBron 8 V/2 – Version 2 – Lighter Means Better? »

Apparently having one shoe for the season and another one for the Playoffs is not enough. Seems like Nike is going to debut at least three different signature shoes for LeBron James this year. Those of you, who have already purchased the Nike LeBron 8, probably noticed the name LEBRON 8 V/1 on the side of the pull out box. That was our first clue. Today, thanks to our friends at marqueesole.com, we give you an exclusive preview of the Nike LeBron 8 V/2. The silhouette of the shoe remains the same, but the materials used on the upper are different suggesting that this retooled version is build for a lighter and more fliexible frame. Carbon fiber panels are gone, but the Flywire is still there. Additionally, there are huges ventilation holes underneath a thin layer of synthetic material. Maybe Nike’s tagline “LEBRON 8: LIGHTER, STRONGER, BIGGER EXPECTATION” is about the Version 2, because the regular Eight is not lighter than last year’s model. Ohh… and let’s not forget about the P.S. edition, which is rumored to drop in April. Three different LeBron 8’s. Wow.

I like version 1 better but these will be mine too!!!

  • jr_lyon

I wonder if less material means cheaper price??? Nice thought but I doubt it!!!

These are good for just basketball basically. Wearing shoes that are perforated with holes everywhere is not practical for everyday wear i think but for the court these are amazing in term of lightness and great look.

I think Nike’s slogan LEBRON 8: LIGHTER, STRONGER, BIGGER EXPECTATION?, the lighter parter conrespnds to the V2 and the stronger part coresponds to the V1, just my thoughts, also can someone give some dates on when more cw will be avaliable other than the usa’s and blackouts and NY cw.

I dont know about these..these look like a cheaper version of the 8s right now im takin the V1s but i still want to see the 3rd version

  • Everyone should be satisfied now. Those who like OG LeBrons as in V/1 and those who just need to get the lightest shoes as in V/2.
