Nike Air Max LeBron VIII (8) Sneak Peek – November 2010 »

Mar 18, 2010 at 8:21 am | lebron-viiishoes

Will there be a big difference between Air Max LeBron VII and its next installment? We got a very first image of LeBron VIII that indicates its silhouette. From a reliable source, the general design of LeBron 8 is similar to the Air Max LeBron 7, with engineered Flywire chassis for support and lockdown, and the same full-length 360 max air unit on the midsole. Other than the Air Max LeBron 7 successor, the third installment of the Zoom LBJ Ambassador series is coming too. Info & pics via our friends at kix-files.com.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm idk i gotta see real pics!

  • At least we know it’s coming and it’s an Air Max shoe, again. Seems like there is some sort of wraparound too.

  • 4DRUMZ

Yeah, there’s just a subtle hump on the top of the arch to indicate a strap and then behind the heel you can see where it likely fastens. Initially it looks a little too much like the VII for me but Nike seems to be leaning that way if we compare the Kobe IV to the V.

  • phoenixphire

well if it aint broke dont fix it i guess but still…gotta see some real pics

  • jr_lyon

You can bet it is very similar only this one has a strap. The biggest flaw of the VII if you wanna call it a flaw was the lack of ankle lockdown.

  • titan from taguig

we’ll just have to wait for the pix

  • jr_lyon

I was hoping they would go back to Zoom Air. I don’t like straps on my shoe and I prefer Zoom Air so I guess I’ll just have to stock up on Lebron VII Post Season’s

    have you tried the VII’s?

  • 4DRUMZ

Has Jr_Lyon tried the VII’s? Allow me to answer… oh mmmmyyyyy yyyyyeeeessss! Brother has a beast of a Bron’ collection!

I agree, there’s a lot heel slip in the AM VII and they clearly fixed that with the PS. Personally, I like the feel of the AM unit but it’s added height takes some serious adjusting too and that’s just walking… I haven’t even balled in them yet!

  • They always end of changing something last minute. This info is a scratch on the service, but will most likely serve as the basis for the model.

  • Lebron Zoom Max VIII?

  • Tomas

has he even signed another contract with NIKE yet? i dont think sooo…. wishful thinking.

BUT, if they this looks like a hybrid of the VII and kobe V; from the ambiguous shadow shot i can tell one thing:

    I LOVE IT!

  • dds010

If Nike hasnt noticed before. People dont want a strap on a shoe thats going to be worn casually by 80% of the people who purchase it.

  • chosen2

Fo sho Tomas I haven’t heard anywhere that LeBron re-signed with Nike the VII was the last under his current contract. Guess we gotta wait and see and if it happens I guarantee it will be in the 100+ million range.

    =

  • I think they already signed him. I wonder if they’re gonna announce it anytime soon, cause lately all those deals are being kept secret.

  • LOOK

do you guys see a faint design on it. looks like a yellowish wavy design
    maybe not but JUST LOOK

  • Why is the shoe tongue so high?

  • Morgan

Love straps, love hi tongues, love flywire, love good colorways n love zoom air
this shoe looks 2have 4 of 5 & its a bron ill buy it

  • Tomas

i think its just cause the shoe it self is a mid/low top

starting to stare longer and longer…its looking nicer and nicer

  • jr_lyon

Good Lookin out 4DRUMZ!!!! Don’t get me wrong the VII is one of my top 5 favorite shoes. I just prefer Zoom Air cause I think it feels better for casual use and that is what I wear most of my shoes for.

  • jr_lyon

Anyway you look at it its a Lebron shoe and I will probably have every colorway made.

  • dds010

The VII has sold very well because it looks great casually. thats the main reason why J’s sell so well, they just loook good being worn casually. Every numbered J thats is a classic has never featured a strap and there’s a reason for that, straps just dont transfer well from the ccourt to casual wear. if Nike really wants Lebron’s line to become legendary (When the made the VII so beautiful thats what i thought they were trying to do) then they better change that strap or else brons line is never fully gunna take off.

the 2 is the best Bron to date – with a strap.

the 5 is the best performing shoe to date – with a strap.

nuff said. bring back the strap adn avoid heel slippage like there is with the VII.

  • dds010

Pretty sure neither the II nor the V have sold very well, along with alot of Bron’s shoes (based on expectations of his brand). The II may be the best to you, but to most of the people that actually buy them for casual wear (which is the way most people buy a $150+ sneaker do), straps are only gunna be a let drop for them and force them away from purchasing the sneaker.

  • melo_22

its a strap i guarentee it.

i know sources that confirm also.

  • who_dat

 Another darned Air Max model…Hope it has an outrigger because Air Max has horrible stability at the edges. Oh my bad…these shoes are for styling, what was I thinking hoping for the best performance.
