You know how a shoe pops out in the stores and some of them have this really cool description including the weight of the shoe. Well… what does that tell you? We don’t even know what size that is and very often the measurments provided are no near the facts. With LeBrons all this is of higher importance, because it’s a commonly known issue that LeBron James’ signature kicks are heavier than some of us would like them to be.
For that reason, the NikeLeBron.net crew came up with an ultimate shoes weight guide that’s focusing on all Nike LeBron shoes and some other top notch Nike Basketball sneakers – Hyperdunk, Kobe III, Huarache 2k4, Air Jordan XX3, and more – used as a reference. Now you will have a hard evidence and precise information about everything weight related. As you have probably seen that’s not the only thing new on NikeLeBron.net today. The fresh newsbox above should help you stay in touch with all the breaking news. Witness the truth after the jump.

Early last month Nike released two special Zoom Soldier IIs for the Kids only. In fact there are still available on [nikestore.com]. Inspired by LeBron’s Summit Lake Hornets team from Akron and the Beijing Olympic Games they make a special set that not only Kids would appreciate. Thanks to issforums.com member Hattrick we’ve discovered that the Mens edition of the USA version, the tattooed one, exists. However, it’s more of a sample thing and the pics below are most likely the first and last we’ll ever see. The other Kids exclusive were also confirmed to have a Mens representative and hopefully we’ll be able to share some pics soon. More photos of Kids and Mens Olympic ZSII after the jump.

LeBron James did not play in the 2004 NBA All-Star Game, but his kicks game was already serious back then. For that short time he was “The Unchosen One.” LeBron James was not among the reserves for the All-Star Game. James was unable to beat out Eastern Conference guards Paul Pierce, Michael Redd, Baron Davis and Jason Kidd. He still could make the team if one of the East All-Stars was injured, but he didn’t want to be named a replacement.
“I wasn’t part of the ones that they picked at first, so I wouldn’t even like to be a part of the team if somebody didn’t go,” James said. “I’m an only child and I never want to be picked second. I don’t come second.”
“Not making it just tells me I’ve got to work harder,” said James, “I’ve been earning a lot of things this year — earning the respect of players, the respect of refs. That’s another thing I’ve got to earn, to be a part of the elite group.”
Too bad he didn’t make the cut, cause Nike instead of releasing the LeBron James x All-Star Game pack had to get rid of it using the outlets, but of course the shoes didn’t stay there long. Back to the shoes… we profiled his Special Make Up for the Los Angeles All-Star Game several times already (here and here). However, as usual, there are various implementations of the Air Zoom Generation ASG PE. If you’ve been up-to-date with the AZG listing you’ve seen at least 3 of them – ASG White Sample, ASG Grey Sample, and ASG ‘LA’ PE. This week, courtesy of PO2345 we’ve learned there’s another shoe commemorating LeBron James not playing in the 2004 All-Star. The fourth version of this already rare Player Exclusive, which makes this one ‘ultra rare’, is the same as the ‘regular’ PE, but has an additional #23 stitched on the back – LeBron’s AZG PE emblem. Don’t forget that apart from the ASG kicks there’s a special sneaker that actually did taste the Hardwood during the All-Star Weekend – the Wheat edition. Bron rocked the Timberland-inspired-Gold-colored AZG in the Rookie Challenge cause that wouldn’t be legal during the regular season. There are at least two versions of that one as well – King James’ PE and the public edition.

With a little delay caused by the Zoom LeBron VI making its way to the press and the “unexpected” USA win in the Beijing Olympics, we’re here to hold the given word. We promised a showcase of LeBron James’ USA shoes and we start things off with the “United We Rise” Zoom Soldier II. Photos of his Olympic shoes have been posted several times already, but this time we get all into the details with this classic NikeLeBron.net-esque showcase. King James wore four different shoes throughout the Summer Games, but if you’re up-to-date you know that by now. Expect a similar feature on the Friendlies edition soon. ZLVI UWR will require some additional effort and time so it might take a while, but you can always check back the practice shots – still the best photos on the Internet. Massive number of pics available after the jump so make sure you’ve got an Internet connection up for it.

The first glimpse of the upcoming Nike Zoom LeBron VI came from the Kicks Magazine cover, that leaked early this month. LeBron James has already earned his way on to seven SLAM covers thanks to his revolutionary game and commanding personality, but it took a few years before everyone could agree to switch lanes and put the shoe industry’s best hope for a ball-playing salesman on KICKS’ front page. With the LeBron VI on deck, dude is more than deserving. If you wanna know what’s inside please continue reading…

In anticipation of the Zoom LeBron VI release we give you another look at the ‘United We Rise‘ version. After the practice shots from Beijing and the catalog image from Nike it’s time for another installment courtesy of chengyang. As we reported earlier the Olympic ZL6 is said to be released in limited fashion and according to our sources it will happen in about a month, but things are still in motion so keep checking back as it’s not set in stone yet. The VI is all about the looks as according to LeBron James and Ken Link – lead designer of LeBron’s line – the casual friendly approach is back this year. After the first two colorways looks like they did focus on the appeal and the LeBrons are never poor in terms of performance so it might be the winning combination. This time the core technology used to support LeBron’s stature is double Zoom Air unit for cushioning and Carbon-fiber cup in the heel for stability.

There are some PEs and there are some PEs! Most of the shoes, especially the limited ones, are defined by their rareness. If there was a contest to determine which of the Nike LeBron IIIs is the most unique these would have make it the top three no doubt. The Superman PEs have been seen before, but this one is special. Some believe the whole Superman concept was born in case King James would get the NBA Most Valuable Player title. So far he didn’t. Anyway… there are two base models of the Superman III’s – Blue and Red, which defines the main color on this multicolored shoe. The one featured below is just another variation of the Blue Superman featuring an ‘MVP’ logo one the horizontal dynamic strap and a Superman-esque L23 logo on the tongue. There are rumors that yet another version exists, which has Yellow as its main theme. So far there are no photos to confirm that. Photos courtesy of KDogLBJ23.
By the way, thanks to these new IIIs we hit 50 in our LeBron 3 listing so feel free to check it out here.

One of the most exciting things about LeBrons is the number of different color ways and styles that make the whole going-after-the-ones-you-like game so much fun. Of course some are overwhelmed by it, and sometimes the exclusiveness of various shoes makes other people give up. However, in the end there’s plenty to go around and hopefully the real fans will always find a way. It’s not like anyone can have them all, right?
One of the examples of the surprises you may encounter is the profiled today Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier II China Exclusive. It doesn’t get much love cause it’s outside of the main signature line, but it’s a perfect release for the hardcore enthusiasts and of course Chinese fans, for whom it’s doubly special. The featured model is not the one that got released! Look very closely as you will see that there’s something different about them. In case you need something to compare check out the Showcase we published last month. Still can’t see it?… okay here’s the answer… there are two versions of the China Soldiers. The regular one has a standard nothing-to-be-excited-about leather, but the one below has that shiny Patent Leather look (yes, the title gave it out). Big props to our friend dOubleO, who was kind enough to share his discovery. When you hit ebay looking for a pair be sure to look very closely as you might find a similar deal with a sample hiding as a GR.
UPDATE: new photos with better lightning show the Patent Leather more clearly.
