The U.S. Men’s Senior National Team is looking strong after its first two exhibition games as it prepares for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. On Thursday, LeBron James and Co. stomped Turkey, 114-82 at the Cotai Arena in Macao. James, named the game’s MVP, led the U.S. with 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting and six Americans scored in double-figures, but it was their defense that fueled this victory. By the way he wore the Nike Zoom Soldier II Olympic Edition, the Supreme model with Chinese characters all over it. Read the full recap on ESPN and enjoy the photos below.

Couple days ago, shortly after the Nike Zoom LeBron VI was introduced to the world, we published some close-up pictures from the hk-kicks.com crew showing what the shoe is all about. Once again, thanks to our Hong Kong friends, we are able to take it a little further with these new better and bigger photos. Several pics stayed the same, but there are some new angles including my favorite the first one, showing how the Tribal inprint looks like without the flash. Also, now you can clearly see all the details including the VI logo sitting on the top of the tongue and the USA “United We Rise” logo just below that. Click the photos to enlarge.

We featured the United We Rise Nike Zoom Soldier II several times already. However, it’s a very interesting design – possibly the best colorway out there – and it deserves all the extra attention. Let’s focus on the reflective Tribal pattern, which is the main theme for USA Basketball gear this year.
The multi-faceted graphic tells the story of many cultures coming together under the common theme of victory. Specific elements of the design include: The Statue of Liberty, represented by the torch | Stars and stripes representing the 50 American states | The date of the signing of the Declaration of Independence | Decorative elements from USA nation’s currency | The olive branch and arrows from the talons of the American eagle in the Presidential seal | Celtic, African and Native American symbols and influences | A bleeding heart representing Hispanic culture (info thanks to ridikulas via NT).
All this can be found on all Nike 2008 Olympics apparel and shoes. As mentioned before the UWR Soldier II is a part of a special Nike “United We Rise” pack. Be sure to check out some other models like: Converse Wade Team | Nike Air Force 25 Low | Nike Hyperdunk | Jordan Olympia. Click the ‘Read the rest of this entry’ link to see more pics, which show you how the 3M reflective pattern reacts to light.

Last year the Nike Zoom Soldier I debuted in the summertime, but additional 4 styles were released later that year, as the basketball season was about to start. The team-colored White/Red, White/Green, White/Blue and White/Black were considered to be classic team shoes from LeBron James’ Nike Zoom Soldier signature line. In the case of this year’s Zoom Soldier II there are also two sub-categories of the shoe… the regular ZSII (includes all the exclusives) with LeBron’s Win-Fearless-Vision-Family-Passion circle on the tongue and the Nike Elite Team Basketball with the ELITE logo instead. We’ve already published two versions of the Elite’s and today we profile yet another sample in a White/Navy/Silver colorway. They might be released later this year just like the previous version, but more colorways should be available. Props to DJAirJordan for these exclusive photos.

The Zoom LeBron VI debuting on the biggest world stage stole the show that’s for sure. However, since the shoe is still far away from being launched, let’s get back to the current one – Nike Zoom Soldier II UWR. Nike created the United We Rise Pack, which comprises of several different models that were inspired by the 2008 Beijing Summer Games, to commemorate USA Basketball Men’s Senior Team. There’s a Jordan Olympia, Converse Wade Team Mid, Nike Air Force 25 Low, Nike Hyperdunk, and of course one Lebron shoe – Zoom Soldier II. They all feature predominantly White uppers, along with Red and Navy accents complemented with 3M reflective Tribal pattern. Some of the shoes come in a special packaging as does the ZSII. Apart from the Olympic inspired drawer box you’ll find a special “United We Rise” dust bag inside. The first batch of shoes already hit Nike Store last week, but there are still more coming. Expect them to drop at the House of Hoops by Footlocker on 8-8-8.

The Zoom LeBron VI story continues to unfold. Just yesterday, less than 24 hours ago, the very first pics surfaced the Internet and today thanks to our friends at hk-kicks.com – H-Leung and abt – we get some hot new photos and the final confirmation. This is the Nike Zoom LeBron VI, King James said it himself so now there’s no doubt now. LeBron’s sixth signature sneaker features a synthetic leather upper, support overlay that acts as a toe cap and Nike’s responsive full-length Zoom Air, this time around in double-stacked form. It hopes to carry on the strong performance attributes that the signature series has become known for over the past five years (tech info via SC). The presented colorway is the Olympic Edition and just like all the rest Nike USA Basketball new kicks it features the Tribal laser pattern with 3M reflective material. Enjoy these LIVE pics from Macau below. Plenty of shoots after the jump.

Check out these hot photos from today’s practice. LeBron’s rocking a new shoe and it might be is the long-anticipated Nike Zoom LeBron VI. Photos below come from a training session for the Beijing Olympics at the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel in Macau. James said that his right ankle, which he injured in practice last Tuesday and which held him out of Friday’s shellacking of Canada, is “healthy” and “good”, but this is an unexpected surprise to get back like this. Seems like there won’t be any leaks this time, he decided to break them out himself. This is post with id=1000 on NLB.net. Talk about timing. So, what do you guys think? Better than the previous version aka Zoom Power?
UPDATE: New pics added. Thanks to you big dummy.

As we get closer to the Olympics in Beijing, days only get longer. For as much media coverage for the Olympics, how can you not be ready to watch James, Kobe, and the rest of the team take floor for the USA team. From Vogue, LeBron has made a bigger jump to TIME magazine. As team captian LeBron is getting quite the media response after promising a gold in the 2008 Olympics. As LeBron heads into the Olympics along with all the other players, we can only hope that LeBron comes through with this promise. The past olympics have been quite an upset for the USA basketball team. Via sneakervault.com.
