Dirk Nowitzki, with a whole lot of help from his supporting cast, finished the job against the star-studded Miami Heat, 105-95, to capture NBA title. Miami’s big three – LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh – combined for 57 points. But that wasn’t nearly enough to stop the Mavs from celebrating in Miami. The Heat needed LeBron to be great. He was OK. Wade had carried the Heat throughout the Finals, but he finally seemed to run out of gas on Sunday. James made some jump shots early and was useful as a facilitator throughout the game, but he was far, far too passive on both ends of the floor when he desperately needed to show a sense of urgency. This is a series that will haunt LeBron until he does win a ring, but according to his twitter “The Greater Man upstairs know when it’s my time. Right now isn’t the time.”
