Available Now: Nike LeBron 12 Elite “Ignite” »
It’s very interesting seeing Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James and his transformation into the Playoffs mode, which for the fourth season in a row includes a special version of his signature shoes prepared for the championship battle… the LeBron 12 Elite. By definition his Post Season shoes are upgraded in order to adapt to the potential 28 games instead of the full-length 82 games in the regular season. In real life we know that players don’t use the same pair for more than a couple of games. The first two Elites were lighter and stronger… now they’re just slightly different. There are no more Kevlar and Carbon upgrades. Nike notes the following changes… an all-new Vertical Takeoff wings?super-strong “beams” that frame soft, protective Phylon foam?integrate with the laces and wrap your foot for extreme lockdown and lateral stability an extra Nike Zoom unit for added cushioning. Apparently, the upper has less material than the LeBron 12, which gives it a lighter, stronger feel. Go check them out and let us know if they’re worth the extra money. We’ll review the changes too. Stay tuned for more insights.
