Happy birthday to us. NikeLeBron.net is one year old today! »
Today is a very happy day for NLB.net as we celebrate our first anniversary. Although the first entries date back to 2006 the NikeLeBron.net was created on 21st March, 2007 – it’s the date when domain as we all know it, became active and now after a whole year we celebrate NLB’s first birthday. During the past year, the milestones have come thick and fast. Check out selected facts below:
NikeLeBron.net in numbers:
- 7500+ photos online of both shoes and LeBron James’ game pics.
- 542 posts over the last year (650 total), which is almost 1.50 posts/day.
- 354 different Nike LeBron shoes listed (including 50 AF1s). See all the stats.
Our bday gift for all the readers are several new features as we try to improve all the time. Here’s what’s new:
- Shorter loading time – this has been priority no. 1 that we wanted to accomplish before today. We are glad to annouce that NLB.net is faster than ever as we were able to speed things up and hopefully you should experience much shorter loading time.
- Tags – Check out the popular tags on the photos search page. Additionally each post has a [related posts] section for an easier navigation.
- Photos search – The photo search engine is back. However, there are still plenty of pics that need to be tagged. Expect the updates very soon as the ultimate LeBron photo search WILL BE completed shortly.
- Collectors section – With almost twenty different pages the navigation has become a little harder, so the collectors table is now sortable (sort by name, number of pics, date). Just click the headers.
- Timeline – One of the coolest sections here has been upgraded and now each game photo has a shoe preview popup. Just hover the mouse over the description under each photo for popup to show. So far only 2006-07 and 2007-08 timlines have been updated. The rest will be updated very soon.
- Nike LeBron Info page has been updated with the listings of all the Zoom LeBron Low-Top sneakers. Click ‘more’ in the given section to see more details. Also, because the page is getting bigger, the navigation has been improved with a smooth scrolling feature.
What’s to come:
- Users registration plus a discussion forum.
I would like to thank all the readers, fans, sneaker-addicts and my dearest friends, who helped me improve this website. The numbers and all the compliments are nice and fun, but I’m in love with the community, and I can’t take any credit for that. That was all you guys. When I started all this last March, I figured that “success” for this website was creating an informative portal for all the fans thirsty for knowledge. Just going through the process of creating it was rewarding. That people actually use it and like it is more than I could have hoped. Thank you for making NLB’s first year a success, and I hope you’ll stick around for more. Yours truly… Greg aka ‘Kaczala’.
