Nike LeBron 16 ‘King’ to Debut on Season Opener (Release Date) »

The Los Angeles Lakers are scheduled to play against the Portland Trail Blazers on October 18th for their season opener.

LeBron James is expected to wear the presented King colorway of the Nike LeBron 16. It’s also one of the pieces used for the 1 Thru 5 concepts.

The ‘King’ LEBRON XVI a Team Red Battleknit 2.0 upper with leopard print on the heel. It pays homage to the Air Zoom Generation ad campaign with the iconic photo of King James surrounded by lions used on the insoles.

Footlocker Europe has a matching style, Team Red/Metallic Gold-Multi color, listed for release on October 15th. I’m not sure if it’s in fact coming out 3 days before the season opener, but it’s an indication they’re indeed coming out soon. Stay tuned for updates.
