I’m so glad Nike brought the Think Pink initiative back to general public and they did so in timely fashion. Last season we didn’t get a proper Think Pink drop as a part of the LeBron James signature collection so players couldn’t back it up and show their support on the court. This season they decided to release a predominantly Pink colorway of the Nike Soldier VII. The new Soldier shoes are a big upgrade over the last year’s version and the presented Kay Yow make up adds an additional pop. You can get these fairly easy on eBay and other online retailers.Read the rest of this entry »
Here’s another look at the anticipated Think Pink colorway of the Nike Zoom Soldier VII that was unveiled last month. Along with the pics come some good news… the shoes are already available for purchase. Don’t mind re-sellers, though, some of them are trying really hard to make these more limited than they really are. If you don’t give in, you can easily find a pair close to the retail price. Each year Nike creates at least two pairs of Kay Yow inspired Nike LeBron shoes… one for the main line (usually a PE) and one for the Soldier line (usually a limited GR), but last year the Soldier VI Think Pink was really hard to find. This time it should be fairly easy. No extra hype needed.

The Think Pink theme has become one of the most recognizable collections not only for the Nike LeBron line, but the whole sneaker industry. It’s also one of a few remaining common denominators between the LeBron James’ main signature series and the Nike Soldier line. Here’s the latest member – the Nike Zoom Soldier VII done up in support of breast cancer awareness in collaboration with the Kay Yow cancer fund. Good news is that the Nike Zoom Soldier 7 Think Pink might be releasing pretty soon. Stay tuned for release details once available.

Nike really needs to start releasing LeBron’s Think Pink kicks again! The legacy is already there. They used to do that for the Soldier series, but for some reason stopped after the Air Max Soldier V. Here’s the first look at the Breast Cancer Awareness Kay Yow version for the standard version of LeBron James’ tenth signature shoe. The Think Pink LeBron X features a pink upper with a lace jewel indicating it’s a Nike Plus model. Black tongue and inner lining add balance to the bright upper and Silver fills the diamond cut Swoosh and the midsole, which sits atop a translucent outsole. There’s no word on a release at the moment, but I would love to be surprised on this one. It’s for a great cause after all. Photo via @starkey23. It took a while for the Kay Yow themed Nike LeBron 9 to introduced itself. King James posted a teaser presenting these friends and family issued kicks back in July. Here’s a second, more detailed look. The Nike LeBron 9 Think Pink features a pink-based upper accented by metallic silver 3M reflective panels. The Y-shaped Kay Yow logo in on the top of the tongue and the heel pull tab as a nod to the ongoing Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.
