The latest school to receive personal Nike LeBron 12 shoes from King James and Nike Basketball is from the same state he calls home. The Buckeyes have already a huge heritage of Nike LeBron PEs, but this time we won’t see the good old “O” logo anywhere on the shoes. That’s really too bad and that heel tab markings are not doing it for me. Apart from that the “OSU” LeBron 12 colorway is pretty nice and it’s even the updated version with OH-IO on the sole instead of #6. Additionally a Black swoosh border separates these from any Nike iD mockups.

Looks like college colorways are back for the Nike LeBron 11! Nike Basketball also hooked up the Ohio State Buckeyes with personalized Nike LeBron XI PEs for both home and away games. The OSU-inspired PEs take on a similar zig-zag theme as the Florida Gators PEs we profiled just yesterday, with the exception of only the Home version working the custom pattern. The Aways feature a simple red Hyperfuse upper with contrasting white sections on the outsole, Nike branding and the inner lining. I wonder if we get to customize our shoes in a similar way on Nike iD with the anticipated color options pack.

Even though it’s Throwback Thursday… here’s one of the shoes that has never made the headlines therefore it’s more of a first look rather than anything else. Greg Oden joining forces with the Miami Heat made King James super thrilled about the “Ohio Boys” playing together, which he mentioned earlier today via a tweet. It’s a great occasion to mention one of the shoes. It’s probably not the most sought after item on the market right now, but I’m pretty sure Ohio State basketball fans will appreciate this. It’s a plain and simple White and Red colorway of the Zoom Soldier IV that the Buckeyes team used briefly back in 2011. It’s definitely less special than the other OSU version with it’s unique combination of Red & Grey, but for those who track all the possible styles and make ups it’s still worth mentioning. It doesn’t help that the same color scheme was available as a Team Bank colorway… hype-wise. The shoes have been added to the Soldier 4 listing, which currently holds nearly 50 different styles.

If LeBron James ever went to college, his hometown Ohio State Buckeyes would have been at the top of his list. LBJ is a huge Ohio State fan and each year Nike Basketball releases a Buckeyes-inspired colorway of his signature shoe line. The new Nike Air Max LeBron X Low University Red drops this Saturday, June 15th. The new LeBron James low-top gives sneaker enthusiasts an alternative to the high silhouette of the X’s. It’s a nice change of pace after a number of vibrant colorways have already been released… including the turquoise and bright citrus. Sitting atop a 360 Air Max unit is a university red Hyperfuse constructed upper. Total crimson makes its mark on the Swoosh design and the Dynamic Flywire cabling. Finally, pure platinum makes up the tongue, inner lining, and the speckled midsole. The Nike LeBron X Low “University Red” will be available tomorrow at, House of Hoops, Foot Locker and other Nike retailers like Oneness for $165.

Yesterday, the Ohio State Buckeyes squeezed into their fourth straight Sweet 16 appearance with a 78-75 win over Iowa State at University of Dayton Arena. Since the Ohio State University is still a LeBron James sponsored school, many players wore Nike LeBron shoes including personalized LeBron X iD and Zoom Soldier VI colorways. Although their Player Exclusive version is slightly different from the one presented below, it gives us a great chance to check out one of the more interesting styles that were actually released to public. See detailed photos presenting the Soldier 6 OSU Camo edition below.

While we anticipate the release of the first version of the Nike Air Max LeBron X Low, the Easter colorway, let’s take a look at one of the upcoming colorways. The design itself is underwhelming due to the use of the last year’s components. However, Nike can save the shoe by releasing such interesting styles like the presented below Ohio State inspired make up.

Next month, the men’s and women’s Ohio State Buckeyes basketball teams will take part in the 2012 Carrier Classic, a double-header that will be played on board the USS Yorktown in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina. Last year, North Carolina and Michigan State competed in the inaugural event on the USS Carl Vinson in San Diego. To mark the occasion, Nike is once again dropping special footwear for the game’s participants. For the Buckeyes, a Nike LeBron-sponsored school, there’s a special version of the Zoom Soldier VI. The shoe is red-based with digi camo print on the cross strap and inner lining. Red also works the midsole, which sits atop a translucent rubber outsole. Though a date is currently unknown, it looks like you can expect to see these hit retail in early November.
