Yesterday, the Ohio State Buckeyes squeezed into their fourth straight Sweet 16 appearance with a 78-75 win over Iowa State at University of Dayton Arena. Since the Ohio State University is still a LeBron James sponsored school, many players wore Nike LeBron shoes including personalized LeBron X iD and Zoom Soldier VI colorways. Although their Player Exclusive version is slightly different from the one presented below, it gives us a great chance to check out one of the more interesting styles that were actually released to public. See detailed photos presenting the Soldier 6 OSU Camo edition below.

While we anticipate the release of the first version of the Nike Air Max LeBron X Low, the Easter colorway, let’s take a look at one of the upcoming colorways. The design itself is underwhelming due to the use of the last year’s components. However, Nike can save the shoe by releasing such interesting styles like the presented below Ohio State inspired make up.

Next month, the men’s and women’s Ohio State Buckeyes basketball teams will take part in the 2012 Carrier Classic, a double-header that will be played on board the USS Yorktown in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina. Last year, North Carolina and Michigan State competed in the inaugural event on the USS Carl Vinson in San Diego. To mark the occasion, Nike is once again dropping special footwear for the game’s participants. For the Buckeyes, a Nike LeBron-sponsored school, there’s a special version of the Zoom Soldier VI. The shoe is red-based with digi camo print on the cross strap and inner lining. Red also works the midsole, which sits atop a translucent rubber outsole. Though a date is currently unknown, it looks like you can expect to see these hit retail in early November.

LeBron James has already debuted the Ohio State colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 in the OKC Charity Game last month. He wore the Player Exclusive version. However, if you won’t miss lack of the “O” logo on the tongue you can get the General Release model starting today at nikestore.com or eastbay.com. Similar to the Kentucky pair, college styles like UKs, OSUs, and probably Canes too seem to be exclusive in the U.S. The Buckeyes are already wearing theirs… more info on that soon.

It wasn’t an All-Star Game, but Oklahoma City sure treated it like one. A crowd of 12,874 at the Cox Convention Center saw stars like LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook (White team) duke it out with Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and James Harden (Blue team) in a surprisingly entertaining game, the White Team prevailing in overtime, 176-171. The hometown hero – Kevin Durant – recorded a triple-double with 42 points, 26 rebounds and 11 assists, but Mike Beasley also turned it up last night at by dropping 56 points while wearing the Nike Zoom LeBron IV. This season, LeBron James will officially outfit three college teams: University of Miami, University of Kentucky, and his “hometown” Ohio State University. The first two are kind of new to his Nike signature line, but OSU’s have been present for a long time, which is evident here. Jason Petrie has already unveiled OSU 9′s in the LEBRON 9: Shoe Science “Position” video, but here’s another look at the pair personalized for Buckeyes’ basketball players. No school logos are present, but this is the releasing version. Stay tuned for exact release date information.
