Here’s a side-by-side comparison of the LeBron 11 and the LeBron 12 in their initial colorways… King’s Pride and NRSL, respectively. The most important aspect that everybody is looking forward to finding out is the on-court performance, but we still have to wait a little longer to solve that mystery. Nike has probably learned from last year’s mistakes and there’s no drop-in midsole this time around. Aesthetically, the materials are roughly the same, but each section has significant upgrades. Instead of using Hyperfuse they modified the structure with a Megafuse composition, which adds a layer of stiff rubbery surface. The shoe is much more flexible now, but still offers a lot of support. The new design is quite pleasing, but putting that small Swoosh on the toe area for the third straight year doesn’t seem innovative to me. Actually both Nike Swoosh logos and their placement is the main reason the LeBron 12 might be a difficult match for casual wear. Check out the LeBron 11 vs. LeBron 12 pics below and stay tuned for updates regarding the new launch date.Read the rest of this entry »
Before we proceed to the LeBron 12 Lifestyle, which is only a couple of days away, let’s take a closer look at probably the most overlooked colorway of the LeBron 11 Lifestyle. As you may know Nike implemented a Cork version, but even this special style wasn’t able to draw much attention. There’s an alternate LeBron XI NSW Lifestyle “Red Cork” colorway that’s even more interesting and was also released this summer. The Red Cork features a red and black cork based upper finished off by a white vulcanized sole. The shoe’s red base is overlaid with black at the quarter-panel and heel. A black textile tongue offers a respite from wood, capped off with LeBron’s NSW lion logo.

The recently released China colorway of the Nike Max LeBron XI Low seems to be the final chapter in the latest installment of LeBron James’ signature low-top sneakers. The China LeBron 11 Lows conclude a series of twelve different colorways that were actually released to public, however, I still have very high hopes for this super clean White and Grey sample to reach retail too. The “Chinese Vase” Max LeBron XI Low is probably the most creative design this year by using actual patterns from a Chinese vase. Normally this would be dull, but Nike managed to give it a proper aggressive feel. Check out the new detailed photos below.Read the rest of this entry »
After teasing us back in May, Nike Basketball is finally set to release the highly-coveted Nike LeBron XI “What The.” Made up of pieces and patterns of the full Nike LeBron line, the model can be broken down into 28 different pieces and bring memories of LeBron’s entry in the league and his current reign as one of the best players in the league. Nike Basketball took the opportunity to not just use the “What The” theme introduced on the SB Dunk Low back in 2007, but pay homage to the stories and moments in LeBron’s career that we remember most. See a breakdown of the hidden inspirations below courtesy of Complex. Good luck to everyone trying to make a purchase! Only a couple of moments left till the drop.Read the rest of this entry »
Tomorrow marks the release of the beloved “What the” LeBron XI and this year’s mash up definitely separates in uniqueness from the previous models. The “What The” LeBron 9 having never been released only built up a lot of hype around the shoe and the recent model of the “What The” LeBron X had sneakerheads going crazy. Most collectors should know and understand the concept behind Nike’s “What The” model kicks and generally the Swoosh uses different aesthetic components and design elements from the same model all compiled into one crazy looking sneaker. This rule wasn’t any different when approaching the LeBron 9 and 10 and history has shown that these concepts for the Nike LeBron line and models was a huge success. The current model of the LeBron XI was no different when it came to the “What The” approach but with a twist that only hardcore LeBron fans would know or even notice. Unlike the 9 and 10, the LeBron XI not only utilizes elements of other XI models but also takes on components from actual LeBron models from the past. Case in point, the new “What The” LeBrox XI seems to be using the actual tongues taken from the South Beach 8 and Red Carpet 7. You can also see hits of Fruity Pebbles and Graffiti taken from the LeBron 4, all-in-all, you’ll find 28 different design and aesthetic elements taken from the King’s past models making this “What The” LeBron the most unique from the previous released and unreleased. The shoe will be available tomorrow in not-so-limited numbers so hopefully everyone can get a pair.Read the rest of this entry »
It was unveiled on April 1st, and after a couple of delays the launch of the What the LeBron 11 is only a couple of days away. The LeBron James signature line has featured a myriad of innovations, stories, and unique design elements on its shoes over the years. With the latest edition of the “What the” concept, Nike celebrates all of that history on the King’s eleventh signature sneaker. The colors and graphics that are used for this mismatched pair are taken from the past eleven months of Lebron 11 releases. In all, 28 different elements are borrowed from various sources to make up one exciting and wild creation. It’s a limited edition release planned for next Saturday, September 13th. I’m pretty sure even the inflated $250 price tag won’t scare any fans away. Check out the new beauty pics below.Read the rest of this entry »
