Last year, Nike created the Superhero pack for their marquee athletes – Kobe, KD, and LeBron – which resulted in special colorways of their signature sneakers. Turns out we can expect a similar move for this year’s Elite series. This solves the mystery of the special logo on the tongue of the Crimson / Teal colorway of the Nike LeBron 11 Elite. Durant’s Nike KD VI Elite features a very similar emblem. However, there are no Elite variants for Kids, therefore the same Crimson and Teal make up has been applied onto the Grade School version of the regular LeBron XI as seen below. It’s probably the right thing to do because imagine Kids paying $200-ish for a pair of basketball shoes. That wouldn’t be right.Read the rest of this entry »
Similar to the T-Rex pair, Nike releases a new version of the Nike LeBron XI in Grade School, Pre School, Toddler and Infant sizes without a Men’s counterpart. This new young athlete exclusive LEBRON 11 Laser Crimson collection draws inspiration from King James’ favorite fruit-flavored cereal… Fruity Pebbles. The eye-popping Laser Crimson upper, Total Orange laces and Pink Flash liner carry the zesty theme throughout the shoe with the multi-colored outsole topping it off. It’s been over a week since we got a sneak peek at the All-Star edition of the Nike LeBron XI. From what I saw, other sneaker sites are still playing it safe and calling them simply the Glow in the Dark edition. For what it’s worth my sources have already confirmed these to be the new Allstar kicks and the colorway matches too: 647780-735 Cashmere/Green Glow-Purple Dynasty. This time we get a look at the Kids’ version, but fortunately we get to see more details including that GITD option and the insole tag, which says Gumbo – a dish that originated in southern Louisiana during the 18th century.Read the rest of this entry »
Here’s one of the latest Nike LeBron 11 styles presented as the Grade School version. It sort of draws from the popular Red Carpet colorway, which was introduced for the Air Max LeBron VII… minus the white wraparound, obviously. It’s still unclear if this new Black, Mint and Red version of the LeBron XI GS will get a Men’s counterpart, but do let us know if that’s something you’d consider to get. Stay tuned for updates on all LeBron 11 styles as we’re getting closer to the unveiling of several 2014 colorways.Read the rest of this entry »

Among many LEBRON 11 styles that dropped in November, there’s one more release that’s exclusive to Kids. It’s the Dark Sea/Gamma Green-Volt-Teal Pink also known as the Tyrannosaurus Rex colorway inspired by one of the fiercest animals to have ever lived. The design itself draws direct cues via T-Rex’s glowing eyes (volt), T-Rex’s scaly skin (two-toned green upper) and the dinosaur’s mouth (pink). The T-Rex Nike LeBron XI is available now at major Nike Basketball retailers including Finishline, Eastbay, and nikestore.com in a variety of sizes (Grade School, Pre School, Toddler).

So far, all of Grade School colorways of the Nike LeBron XI have their counterpart in the Men’s version. Even the T-Rex edition. This raises the question if the presented Fruity Pebbles concept will be available for the big boys and girls. The new LeBron 11 sneaker, pictured below, features a bright red upper complemented with white Swoosh logos. The most interesting part is of course the colorful outsole design reminiscent of the Fruity Pebbles LEBRON IV’s. Keep checking back to find out whether we’re looking at a GS exclusive or not.Read the rest of this entry »
