King James Debuts LeBron 9 Lows On-court, Jay-Z Mangos. »

Until last Friday LeBron James had never worn any Ambassadors in an actual NBA game. Until yesterday he had never worn any low-tops either. Yesterday was the first time for LBJ to wear a low-top version of his own signature shoe. The Nike LeBron 9 Low debuted on Easter in two casual colorways, but LeBron debuted a Miami Heat-esque colorway in Black and Red. We profiled this exact version in detail last week. Rolling his ankle in the third quarter seemed scary at first, but fortunately the injury wasn’t too severe. LeBron wasn’t the only one with nice kicks. Jay-Z and DJ Clark Kent, who sat court-side, also sported James’ signature shoes… Mango 9′s and unreleased HWC 8′s, respectively.

Well, there’s definitely no better look than this available. The WTT LEBRON 9 features a Black & Gold colorway similar to the cover of the WTT Album with a huge gold lace lock. Nike LeBron 9 “Watch the Throne” James & Jay-Z & Kanye West »

Jay-Z, who’s known for his connection with LeBron and even his shoes, and Kanye West, who’s probably the only non-athlete celebrity with a signature line of his own have come together and created a collaborative album, which was followed by the “Watch The Throne“. concert tour. Inspired by these events Nike have created a special WTT colorway of the Nike LeBron 9. The Black & Gold upper comes with a translucent outsole, special laces and even a gold ornament… all of which resemble the Watch the Throne album artwork. These are unlikely to release. According to Jason Petrie “Nike only made 3 with the gold Urist piece”. Would you buy them if they did drop?

Nike Air Max LeBron VII (7) “All Black Everything” (Jay-Z) PE »

Very soon an all Black version of the Nike Air Max LeBron VIII will hit the stores. Assuming Nike won’t change the design, of course. The Blackouts or Triple Blacks, whatever you call them, are usually very popular due to a variety of usage making basketball kicks passable as casual or work shoes. Last year, Nike released the Black and Gold colorway of the VII to the public leaving the 100% Black style reserved for their Friends & Family promos. During the Sneaker Friends 2010 images presenting the so called “All Black Everything” colorway leaked to the Internet. Pure blacks VII’s are using a NWF upper instead of the usual Flywire panels. Take a closer look at these Jay-Z inspired kicks with two new photos presented below. More details are shown including a special customized insole.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII – “All Black Everything” – LBJ & Jay-Z »

Here goes another rare & unseen Nike Air Max LeBron VII Sample. The photos come from the Sneaker Friends 2010, which took place this past weekend in Atlanta. Apparently, this All Black colorway of the VII was made for close friends – LeBron James & Jay-Z. Previous variations of predominantly Black AMLVII’s, which you can preview here, featured a Flywire panel on the upper. This makes the new pair unique, because it implements a NFW rule by using a perforated mesh instead of Flywire threads.

LBJ Wearing ZLVI Low at Sprite Green Instrument Donation »

Prior to his Third Annual Jay-Z And LeBron James “Two Kings” Dinner & After Party, The King was spotted sporting the upcoming summer shoe from his signature line – Nike Zoom LeBron VI Low in an All White colorway. Usually, it was hard to see LeBron wear his own shoes off the court. However, this year, Nike is trying to get people’s attention, because the re-designed ZLVI is definitely casual friendly. James wore the Mid version several times already, for example during his “Last Chance for Change” rally for the president Barack Obama. Now he’s trying to get fans excited about what’s coming. Those, who are bored with the AF1s for casual, should love the idea of the ZLVI Low as it has all it takes… classic look plus unmatched comfort. The All White LeBron 6 Low is one of the releasing models slated for this summer. Photos via WireImage.

Jay Giving His VI’s to a Fan After the Obama Concert »

We already recapped the Obama rally in Cleveland that Jay-Z and LeBron were at, but for those who heard about Jay giving away a pair of the VI’s here’s a photo as a proof. Notice, it was not LeBron’s Black/Anthracite pair, but Jay’s Black/White/Red.

LeBron Rocking Black ZLVI During Concert for Obama with Jay-Z »

On October 29, on his home court, LeBron James tried to swing some votes toward a guy who loves to play basketball nearly as much as he does. The NBA superstar hosted a free concert by Grammy-winning hip hop star Jay-Z for Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, a former high school hoop star who still enjoys lacing up his sneakers and playing ball when he isn’t on the campaign trail. Nearly 20,000 fans filled Quicken Loans Arena for the “Last Chance for Change” rally, which began after Obama’s 30-minute TV ad was shown on a giant screen above the stage. Wearing a black leather jacket, baseball cap and huge diamond chain in the shape of Ohio and of course his newest shoes Zoom LeBron VI, James encouraged the crowd to participate in next week’s election. “I want everybody in here, moms, dads, aunts, uncles to get out and vote,” James said. “November 4th is the most important day of our lives.” Thanks to abt for this find.
