Archive for 'black' Tag

The Nike LeBron XI uses a simple TPU shank and one might wonder how come the pinnacle Nike Basketball shoe, that carries a heavy $200 price tag, doesn’t come with Carbon Fiber instead. It’s difficult to speculate at this point, but maybe it’s reserved for a future upgrade along with the LEBRON XI PS Elite. That’s basically what happened last year. Looks like carbon fiber will be coming to the regular LEBRON 11, however, it’s in the form of a Hyperposite print. Additionally, these new LBJ 11’s come with a Black / Grey upper, pink Dynamic Flywire and a translucent outsole below. Look for these in stores on December 14th, 2013 and keep checking back for updates on this and other Nike LeBron XI styles.

While the much anticipated LeBron 11 release has grabbed all the headlines, LBJ’s other signature basketball style, the Zoom Soldier VII, continues to impress with new eye-catching colorways. While everybody is trying to figure out whether to get the energy colorways like the “Power Couple” or “Laser Orange”, here’s a much needed detailed look the yet another version known as the “Green Glow”. The shoes feature an all black base with green glow accents on the strap, Swoosh outline and inner tongue. The Soldier VII is lightweight and features Hyperfuse construction allowing for enhanced breathability, a Zoom unit in the forefoot and heel that provides maximum cushioning and a midfoot strap that offers lockdown comfort. Nike released four great colorways of the LEBRON 9 PS back in 2011… the shoes which, in the end, led LeBron James to his first NBA championship. For the 2012 NBA Playoffs James wore the White/Gold, Black/Gold, Finals Red and four Miami Heat Player Exclusives that are not that easy to find… at all. We were pretty lucky with a detailed on-court look, but it took almost 18 months for the shoes to surface outside of the NBA. This is the Away edition… one of two… that features a very rare red carbon fiber plate. Most of LeBron’s PEs come with digitized #6 logo on the back of the shoe. Hit the jump for more looks at this rare find. Big thanks to @tootall4basketball and @jr_lyon for sharing!

The staple Black and Red colorway used to be the first to drop. Nowadays, the energy styles like South Beach, Cannon, Jewel or the China editions… your Jades, Teracottas etc. that go first. However, if you wanted to picture the evolution of the LeBron James’ signature collection it would be the “Breds” for sure that have been associated with either the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Miami Heat. Here’s the upcoming Nike LeBron XI dressed in traditional Miami Heat road colors. There are scheduled to be released on… actually there are two different dates… October 31st (Foolocker) and November 1st (Nike global release). Last week, during one of the pre-game presentations, LeBron James wore the Nike Ambassador VI in the Miami Heat-esque Black and Red colorway. He switched them out for the game, though. Turns out, the all new AMBASSADOR 6 is already available in a couple of colorways, which include the presented Black and Red make up. The tradition continues as the sixth installment of the Nike Ambassador is available exclusively in the Asia / Pacific region. You can get them pretty easily via eBay for $130-150.

Turns out I was right when I wrote that the Black and Red colorway of the Soldier 7 “is a good candidate to rock in one of the pre-season games” for LeBron James. Call it a hunch. He wore these in Miami’s first game of the season, however, he switched out for the LEBRON X in the second half. In the first three games of the NBA Preseason, James covered pretty much the whole spectrum of his signature shoes. He mainly wore his LeBron X Miami Heat PEs (both regular and Elite), but occasionally you could see him in the new Soldiers and Ambassadors. Continue reading for more in-game pics.

With only four Men’s colorways of the Nike LeBron XI unveiled so far we, once again, turn to the Kids’ version for a preview of things to come. Here’s a look at a new Black and Pink colorway that uses a Carbon Fiber finish on the Hyperposite panels. Additionally, the shoes come with a blue translucent outsole and pink details on the inner lining and the LeBron James signature on the bottom on the shoe. It’s too early to tell if a Men’s counterpart is in the works, but be sure to check back for more updates on all LEBRON 11 styles.

The Miami Heat may have wanted training camp to take place in the Bahamas, in part, to lessen the circus-like media attention given to them. This makes finding photos from their practice sessions that much harder. The time before the regular season starts is when LeBron James is usually trying out different kicks… Ambassadors, Soldiers etc. The presented Black, Bright Crimson and Dark Grey colorway of the Nike Zoom Soldier VII is a good candidate to rock in one of the pre-season games. It’s a nice match for the Miami Heat away or alternate uniforms and we all know Pat Riley is very strict in this matter and players’ shoes simply have to match the jerseys. This colorway is already available in Europe and Asia, but the U.S. launch date is still pending. In order to make the waiting period as pleasant as possible, browse through the gallery below with plenty of nice photos.
