Wearing Brons: Diana Taurasi in LeBron 9 “Phoenix Mercury” PE »

After debuting the USA colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 earlier this month, Diana Taurasi sports a new version personalized for the Phoenix Mercury basketball team. Once again, it’s a very nice and clean looking shoe, but this time in White, Purple and Orange. She will be wearing them during the 2012 WNBA Season. Diana has managed to put together quite a collection of LeBron James’ PEs over the years. Still, her Soldier III Mercury and USAB PEs are one of my favorites. What do you think about her Player Exclusive colorways?

Additional Look at Nike LeBron 9 Low “Floridians” Exclusive »

The Miami Heat have worn the throwback Floridian jersey on multiple occasions this season in which LeBron has worn an exclusive Player Edition shoe. The Nike LeBron 9 Low, however, was the first time the Floridian colors were released on a LeBron signature pair of kicks. The Floridian Lows feature an entirely vivid orange upper with cherry accents on the white Nike swoosh, inner lining, heel “LJ” logo, and on the lace collar. The pair comes with the choice of orange or cherry laces both of which have multi colored lace caps. A white midsole leads into a half cherry and half orange Air Max bubble. The outsole is clear and the bottom of the Air Max cushion has an emblem of a cherry and orange accented Lion. Click here for a special wallpaper and continue reading for more photos.

Wearing Brons: Nick Young Revisits AZG “First Game” »

Nick Young has brought some serious heat to the court this season. From Pennys and Foams to LeBrons. Earlier this month we mentioned about his Zoom LeBron II “Chamber of Fear” PEs, but last week he went back even further. Before the Los Angeles Clippers were swept by the San Antonio Spurs @NickSwagyPYoung broke out LeBron James’ first Nike shoe – the Air Zoom Generation – in the popular First Game colorway. The First Game AZG is in fact James’ first Home game shoe as a Cleveland Cavalier. See the 2003-04 Timeline for details.

Nike LeBron 9 Low “Bringing Sand to the Beach” Custom by Mache »

Mache Custom Kicks brings the popular style from last season – Flamingo aka Miami Nights – to the low-top version of the Nike LeBron 9. Originally, it was first seen on the Nike LeBron 8 V/2 Low, but Mache has already applied the theme to the Mid version of the Nine a couple of weeks ago. The base shoe for the custom paint job appears to be the recently released Nike LeBron 9 Low “Floridians“. The shoes feature a palette of colors inspired by Miami nightlife including pink, blue and black.

The Showcase: Nike LeBron 9 “Black History Month” »

Many slept on the Black History Month collection mainly because there was so much heat dropping around that time. Not to mention that the All-Star Galaxy theme was just around the corner. The Nike LeBron 9 BHM is inspired by the vibrant colors of International African culture, drawing visual cues from Kenyan beads, to the Brazilian Carnivale, to African-American quilt making which originated in the southern United States. It’s a very unique style. Also, it’s the first time Nike included a LeBron shoe as a part of the Black History Month collection. Continue reading for a detailed gallery.

Nike LeBron 9 Elite “Miami Vice” Ultimate Gallery by Sneakerbox »

Here’s another look at the upcoming Nike LeBron 9 P.S. Elite “Miami Vice”. It’s about the tenth zillion time that we profile this South Beach themed shoe, but the new photos will definitely make you awe. Even if you’re not a fan of these shoes. The level of detail is amazing. There are so many pics that I had to split the post into two pages so be sure to check them out both. If you need a reminder, which is doubtful, the Wolf Grey/Mint Candy-New Green-Pink Flash colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 P.S. Elite will be release on June 2nd, 2012. Upcoming Nike Zoom Soldier VI (6) 525015-600 Red/Black/Grey »

Joining the Grey, Black and Blue colorway is the presented Red, Black, and Grey version of the Nike Zoom Soldier VI. Other colorways that are slated to drop later this year were already previewed here. The Zoom Soldier VI goes back to the basics. After using Zoom Air / Max Air cushioning for the Soldier IV and V, the VI features bottom loaded Zoom in the heel and top loaded Zoom in the forefoot. By default, the Soldier line is significantly lighter than the main LeBron James signature collection, but the upcoming sixth installment is supposed to be the lightest ever. What’s your take on this futuristic looking LeBron shoe?

Upcoming Nike Zoom Soldier VI (6) “Wolf Grey/Black-Photo Blue” »

Here’s a detailed look at the upcoming Nike Zoom Soldier VI, which is being touted as the lightest shoe in the LeBron sub-series to date. This pair sports a Wolf Grey and Black zonal performance Hyperfuse upper, with Photo Blue complementing the look on the laces and tongue. Supporting the ride below is a black phylon midsole with bottom loaded Zoom in the heel and top loaded Zoom in the forefoot, as well as a solid blue rubber outsole with modified herringbone traction and signature details embedded in low traction areas. The Zoom Soldier VI will launch sometime in October, with this colorway expected in November.
