Post

Yesterday we posted couple first blurry pics presenting the Nike LeBron 9 in special Christmas colorway. Similar to the LeBron 7 “Big Apple/Christmas” sample, and in some way the last year’s edition too, the shoe features a bright red synthetic upper. Hits of white (swoosh, signature, air max) and green (laces, pull-tab) complement the Chritmas look. A translucent rubber outsole with speckles imitating ice provides the final touch. Are these gonna be on your Christmas gift list? Let’s hope LeBron James will get to wear them this year in an actual NBA game.

Ah these pix make them look aite.. Think I might mess with em. People cant keep comparing the 8s to these. The 9’s r sweet in there own right. Every jordan wasn’t as sweet as the 11’s… I think these r pretty sweet..

  • LBJ

that laces ruin the shoe, it’s like the ones on the 8 PS, they tend to loosen up when you are using them. :| but still it’s a decent shoe :))

    i meant the 7 PS :))

 Looking foward to the release of these. I have never had an LBJ Xmas colorway so Im looking to make these my first pair in 2012.

  • http://slamonline everything

could have used more white and black and green or some midsole speckles perhaps. i agree xmas 8s > xmas 9s but performance wise, man, 9s all day! you gotta bust your pairs on court. these are beasts!

Let us admit Lebron 8 is the best then crappy Lebron 9. This shoes is horrible!

    Than Lebron 9. I mean.

Bluesky7- I remember you saying that the 9’s were uncomfortable right? Just ignore menif im confusing you with someone else.. But it’s probably the lock down harness that’s the problem.. You gotta re-lace your shoes with your feet in them.. And make it fairly loose on the two eyelets of the lock down harness.. Then it won’t bother you so much.. The 8’s were the best though lol. Still like the 9’s in their own way..

Seriously everyone needs to stop stating the obvious. Obviously the 8’s are better than the 9’s. But the 9’s are still dope as hell. People need to realize that they cant make the same damn shoe every year.

  • JR_LYON

I like the Christmas colorway but these are lacking. They woulda looked alot better with some black on em. They just don’t have that “WOW” factor that past Christmas shoes have had. These remind me of the Lebron 7 “Big Apple” samples

It’s not the lockdown. The lockdown is perfect. I am talking about the touge of the shoes not the top part but the bottom of the touge has 2 edges and it’s hard kinda point down to my feet. I tried to rub the bottom of the touge that has edge but it’s so DANG stubborn won’t let it be worn. I thought about cutting the edges off make it better but the problem is that it sew into it. If I cut the edges off then the touge will be fell off in just few wear. That’s why Nike need to have somebody to experience the feel the shoes and tell them their mistakes and how to improve the feel of the shoes.

I see what you mean, I’ve experienced this but only ONCE. Loosened up the laces before wearing them and never had the same problem since. And I tie my laces up to the 2nd to the last lace hole (China laces are long!). Try positioning the tongue to a point where you’re comfortable and hold them in that place before lacing them up. Oh and I wear anklet cut socks, they’re a little higher than no-shows but not higher than the shoe’s collar so it covers up that area that touches your foot. HTH and hope you can still enjoy your 9s!

  • JR_LYON

I’m kinda having trouble with the side of the tongue it wraps around the ankle to much it comes back to wear the pro combat padding is and kinda digs into my ankle. I’m only having this problem with my Bred pair and only on the right foot.

  • http://slamonline everything

wearing crew socks is very helpful to avoid tongue rubbing.

  • http://Nikelebron.net Bluesky7

So, you’re saying wear crew socks all the time whenever you use Lebron 9. That will sucks using crew socks all the time whenever I use Lebron 9. Then I will look like Grandpa in Lebron 9. That will be hilarious!

  • http://slamonline everything

    you’re hilarious!

i wear elite crew socks always for ball.
if youre having problems with them when youre wearing them casually, get hi-quarter socks from nike. it will do the job without you looking like a “grandpa” lol

fyi most ballers including lebron himself wear crew socks.

  • http://nikelebron.net Kaczala

I usually wear NBA socks or Nike’s new LeBron Elite socks. Can’t go wrong.

I have a similar problem in Chinas but on my left foot lol. Definitely need to lace them properly in order to avoid any discomfort.
