I don’t know how about you, but these news came as a complete shock to me. LeBron James has been wearing his Cleveland Home Personalized Zoom LeBron VI throughout most of this year’s games including last night’s match up against the Milwaukee Bucks. This seemed to be his Cavaliers Player Exclusive version, exclusive enough that we couldn’t get a close up of the shoe. Seems like it’s not as rare and limited as one might have thought. This White and Crimson Nike Zoom LeBron VI featuring Grey 3M pattern on the midsole, collar, and around the tongue has a production code: 346526-161. Also, according to Nike’s press release the ZLVI is scheduled to be released in Europe in 2009. However, they are available for sale at NDC France and NDC Italy for 150 EUROs (~USD$193). It is possible for Europe to get such a special treatment from Nike. That would be the first time regarding Nike’s high-end basketball signature sneakers and a good choice too, because they are much better than the hyped-up not-so-Big Apples. At first is was a limited release at Footlocker’s House of Hoops. Then, the Dunkman Soldier IIs hit the streets in Hong Kong, also a limited number of pairs. NBA superstar LeBron James and Microsoft Corp. have lost their Internet connection. James and the software giant have ended a two-year marketing partnership. James’ spokesman Keith Estabrook confirmed on Wednesday the contract between the Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star and Microsoft was not being renewed.
The collaboration led to only one major project — a Web site geared toward children and teens that was launched in 2007 during All-Star weekend in Las Vegas. James’ site at lebron.msn.com has been shut down and lebronjames.com was also vacant, leaving him temporarily without a personal Web site.

Tomorrow, on Black Friday, Nike is set to release the New York City exclusive “Big Apple” Nike Zoom LeBron VI at select Nike quickstrike accounts including House of Hoops, NikeTowns, several Footlockers and few other Mom&Pop stores. Some of the shops in NYC that will carry these limited sneakers include Vault Harlem, the ALIFE Rivington Club, the House of Hoops by Footlocker, and Champs Times Square (info via KATC). The Big Apple Nike Zoom LeBron VI features a Varsity Red perforated leather upper with Varsity Red patent accents. The upper sits on a speckled midsole which does not feature the triple stitching common to each of the other Nike Zoom LeBron VI sneakers. Breaking up the Red, the Big Apple VI features Pine Green accents as well. As always we come through with numerous photos presenting the shoes from pretty much every possible angle.

Remember LeBron’s Free Throw Line Dunk from two weeks ago? His recent games prove he can’t be a human being. Either that or he is some highly evolved version of a human being that is way ahead of his time. Not only is he putting up ridiculous stats night in and night out, but his Cleveland Cavaliers are also winning at a high percentage and looking like one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the Eastern Conference. LBJ had multiple eye-popping plays in his recent games, however, there were two that stuck out as indicative of how far above the rest of the star players Lebron is in the area of athleticism. New York may be getting the hottest Nike Zoom LeBron colorways, but Cleveland isn’t be completely forgotten. We haven’t seen any new LBJ Nike Air Force 1’s in a while now, but seems like there is a pair scheduled to be released in the upcoming months. The last Nike LeBron AF1 sneaker to hit the streets was the Black/Gold Supreme edition, which was released in celebration of Nike’s 25th Anniversary of the Air Force Ones. Nike did a really good job with this one. The newest Nike LeBron AF1 features a suede/perforated leather upper in Cream colors sitting on a Gold midsole highlighted with Crimson laces and the tongue. Of course it wouldn’t be a LeBron Exclusive without the L23 logo, which is sewn on the heel. Photos via lobster*n*shrimp.

The Knicks have two years to convince LeBron James they can be a title contender. His Cleveland Cavaliers showed New York they might be one right now. James scored 26 points before sitting out the fourth quarter, and the Cavaliers quickly took a charged-up New York crowd out of the game in a 119-101 victory Tuesday night.
“They don’t get caught up in that, man, and I don’t either,” James said. “We hear it every day, we see it every day on TV about 2010 all the time, we still go out and take care of business. We don’t worry about what’s going on. Me the leader, I can’t let that faze me because I’m leading these guys onto something that we want to accomplish, and that’s win an NBA championship.”
King James broke out the soon-to-be-released New York City inspired Zoom LeBron VI aka “Big Apple”. Producer and Knicks fan Spike Lee was wearing a pair of the apple candy red NYC sneakers as well. See more in-game photos featuring both LeBron and the shoes after the jump.
