LeBron 2008 summer apparel coming to stores in April »

One week ago we peeped some of the upcoming Nike LeBron James signature clothes, that are coming to the stores soon. Along with the new shoes – Zoom Soldier 2 and Zoom LeBron 5 Low – new LBJ apparel will be available in stores in April. Traditional L23 Logo and Lion Head Logo Tees, which are redesigned every year, will come in new styles as new colors, unusual for the LeBron line, come into play (f.e. Ice Blue). Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier CTK Away PE First Pics »

Another sneaker that was released at House of Hoops on Friday was previously unseen Zoom Soldier “Christ The King” Away version. So far the only pics came from Royal’s basketball games as the players have been wearing them since the start of the current season. Joining the Home colorway plus both Zoom LeBron V CTK editions (Home | Away), which also dropped this week, they form a total package of four CTK’s latest shoes featuring team’s trademark Gold and Maroon colors. All the mentioned shoes were available at House of Hoops, in limited numbers of course. However, CTK’s Suede-Away shoes are tagged as PROMO SAMPLE unlike their Patent-Leather-Home counterparts. Nike Zoom LeBron V Christ The King Away PE from HoH »

The House of Hoops is full of surprises. Thanks to this store more and more exclusive LBJ sneakers hits the streets. It all started with a release of three Zoom Soldier High School editions on the opening back in November followed by “Mr. Basketball” in February and “Yankees” in early March. This week plenty of new Zoom LeBron V exclusives were available starting with OSU, SVSM and CTK Home editions on Monday-Tuesday. Yesterday more shoes popped out as it was unofficial “Christ The King” day. Apart from the Home edition two more CTK’s were unveiled – the suedes: ZLV Away PE and Zoom Soldier Away PE. Another look at the recently (re)released ZLV SVSM PE »

On Tuesday the House of Hoops store released the SVSM and OSU Zoom LeBron V Home PEs following the CTK Home PE from the previous day. All the shoes sold out in an instant just like any other Nike LeBron Player Exclusives before. However, turns out that yesterday the store received another shipment with some additional pairs. It’s good to be around the store as the regular customers were the best source of information beating the media. Good news is there are more pairs floating around and hopefully those crazy resell prices will drop a bit. Fresh look at the 2008 All-Star Zoom LeBron V »

Lately most of the shoes are rated basing on their uniqueness. With the House of Hoops stealing the show most people are trying to get the most limited stuff. NYCers are happy, the rest is not. Everybody wants to be “special” and own the most exclusive stuff. Actually, when collectors want to own the rarest shoes it’s natural, but now in most cases it’s hypebeasts jumping on the bandwagon just to flip sneakers for money. All this causes TRUE FANS to loose their enthusiasm as they are either overcharged or missing out. Other shoes, the ones that are too easy to get, are overlooked and sometimes forgotten. Here on NLB we never forget about the regular stuff. Anyway, take another look at the less-unique, but still beautiful Zoom LeBron V All-Star edition. Remember, buy what you really like and wear them all!

LeBron James is Cavaliers’ top scorer in franchise history »

Yesterday the Cavs lost a heartbreaker against the New Orleans Hornets – a game in which the lead changed 30 times and 36 times the score was tied. However, from the games played during the last seven days there was one more worth mentioning. On March 21st, in a home game versus the Toronto Raptors LeBron James’ first six points helped cement his status as the greatest ballplayer in Cleveland Cavaliers history. His next 23 points were an illustration of why he is. With 4:10 remaining in the first period, LeBron worked his way around Anthony Parker and swooped to the hole with a right-handed layup that gave him 10,391 career points – eclipsing Brad Daugherty as the top scorer in franchise history in just 380 games. On the ensuing possession, Head Coach Mike Brown quickly called for a timeout, allowing the sold-out Quicken Loans Arena crowd to give the young King a roaring standing ovation. An emotional James went to center court to show his appreciation and was met afterwards by his teammates, who handed out hugs, handshakes and high-fives. “These fans have watched me go from zero points all the way to 10,000-plus,” beamed James. “They support me, they support my teammates every night we go out on the basketball court. They have seen me grow from a young man to a man.”

LeBron James shoots new ad with Glaceau VitaminWater »

To launch an endorsement partnership with the sports drink VitaminWater, Cleveland’s superstar filmed a TV commercial on Tuesday in which he stars as a nattily attired defensive attorney trying to win a case. Trading in his Cavaliers jersey, shorts and signature sneakers for reading glasses, an expensive Ralph Lauren suit and black Gucci leather shoes, James again displayed his versatility and style while filming the 30-second spot which will debut during the NBA playoffs. With the same ease he shows on the hardwood floor, James was typically cool in front of the camera. He sipped “Energy” one of VitaminWater’s 15 flavors for each take before smoothly hitting his marks during the taping. The commercial starring James is the latest in VitaminWater’s “try-it” campaign. Last year, the Coca-Cola owned company featured Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz and Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher playing badminton in an ad. Early in his pro career, James signed an endorsement deal with Coca-Cola, which purchased Glaceau, maker of VitaminWater, last year for $4.1 billion. James has done successful TV ad campaigns for Nike, Sprite and others in a vast endorsement portfolio approaching $250 million. In the past year he has also hosted “Saturday Night Live” and “The ESPYs.” A fan of VitaminWater’s other ads, he liked the idea of doing something out of the ordinary. “You want people to see a different side of you. It would be easy for me to do a commercial on the basketball court, shooting a ball through a hoop. People see me do that everyday and they see the highlights all the time,” James said. “But in my ads you see me doing other things. A company like VitaminWater has always done things differently, so it was easy. I didn’t even have to suggest it. They already had it going, so it was easy to fit in.”

High School/College V’s released at House of Hoops »

Just like we announced last week the High School/College Zoom LeBron V pack hit the House of Hoops early this week. Yesterday the Christ The King edition was released with two more dropping today. The CTK sold out quickly and people already started camping out at the store for the Saint Vincent Saint Mary and Ohio State LeBron 5. According to our reliable sources about 70 pairs of the CTK’s hit the streets. The SVSM’s that are going on sale soon will be available in similar numbers, however, the last shoe from the pack – OSU – will be a little more limited. UPDATE: All HoH V’s have been sold out!
