Last year Ohio State University signed a seven-year, $16.3 million contract with Nike. Most of the financial benefit of the deal involved providing uniforms, shoes and other gear for athletes. The Buckeyes’ players wore a special edition of the Zoom LeBron IV during last year’s Final Four tournament on their way to the championship game, in which they lost to the Florida Gators. This season the Buckeyes wear Nike Zoom Soldier sneakers personalized using team’s native colors White, Red and Gray.
