Back in the day, LeBron James used to wear his Nike Soldier series throughout the Playoffs. For the last four years, he’s been equipped with a special Post Season version of his main signature shoes. Even though he didn’t make it to the Finals in 2010, Nike Basketball was ready for that to happen with a Wine and Gold colorway of the Nike LeBron VII PS. The same Wine & Gold style was applied to Nike LeBron 8 PS, but then James switched teams and they came up with an alternate version for the Miami Heat. For the 2012 and 2013 NBA Playoffs, Nike designed similar Red, Gold and Black colorways for the Nike LeBron 9 PS and Nike LeBron X PS. It was definitely by design. Doesn't fit the profile of PS shoes.
