Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James was named yesterday as the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Month presented by Kia Motors for games played in the month of February. James has now won the award for the 15th time in his career and sixth consecutive month dating back to the 2008-09 season: for the fourth consecutive month this season, four times in 2008-09; two times during 2007-08, once in 2006-07, twice in 2005-06 and twice during the 2004-05 campaign. In February, LBJ averaged 32.6 points on .506 shooting, 6.8 rebounds and 10.5 assists in 41.3 minutes per game. If winning the award 4 times in one year and being the best player on the best team doesn’t mean you’re getting an MVP Award in May, what does? I am getting ready for my MVP VII’s… Air Max or Zoom Air… I don’t care.
