James Wears LeBron X PS Elite Due to Toebox Problems in XI’s

LeBron James’ awkward feet made headlines this summer, however, his issues with his shoes are a well known problem. The last time Nike equipped The King with a Foamposite design he switched kicks in mid-season from the Zoom LeBron IV to the Zoom 20.5.5 in order to protect his toes. This year, after four games played, he wore his new LeBron 11 shoes for a total of 7 quarters out of 16 possible. Yesterday, there was no switching shoes as he went straight ahead with the Nike LeBron X P.S. Elite. According to our well-informed sources he’s having problems in the toebox area once again. It’s no secret that James’ game kicks are different than the retail pairs, he uses a custom orthotic insoles, so the big question is… why the problem surfaced so late? After all, LeBron James is deeply involved in the design process and he gets to test the shoes much, much sooner. Stay tuned for more updates as the story unfolds. I wonder if Nike is going to make an official statement addressing this matter. There’s one upside, though, last night he finally wore the White, Black and Gold edition of the LEBRON X PS for the very first time.

  • I wonder how will this affect the LEBRON 11 in general. I am convinced in a beast shoe... performance wise. LeBron is probably the only one with problems here. It's a bad look for Nike for sure.

  • lebron wears what he wants man.if he feels uncomfortable which he does he chooses to wear the x elites.lunarlon is a huge mistake for a lebron shoe.this guy is a freak and destroys lunarlon immediately.zoom bax is the best cushion i have ever experienced and x elites the best shoe in lebron's line. i have both x elites and 11's and i must admit cushion wise i prefer the elites.sometimes i feel my foot sinking in 11's and after heavy playing i feel more tired.overall 11's are awesome and especially in court feeling.best court feeling in lebron's line

    • i think the issue's the way lebron's toes are shaped rather than the cushion on the xi lmao a smaller toebox with lebron's toes and hyperposite, a material which would require multiple games to break in, he can't be strapping on a new pair of lebron xi's every game like he did sometimes with the x

  • This is definitely a stain on what was looking like it could've been LeBron's best shoe yet. Hopefully they get this taken care of.

  • Im just upset at the fact I love the XI so much, my favorite since the Zoom LeBron IV and I was looking forward to seeing LeBron make memories and history in the XI...Do you think it will be resolved, or will he ditch the XI all together?

  • I don't blame The King at all for not wearing The Nike Lebron XI the insole is way too thick. Having that thickness in the heal is fine but slope it, bring it back to an almost normal insole in the forefront so that there is room for toe motion.

  • Its exactly what i said was gonna happen - the toe box is waaay too constrictive; same as the 5 (one of my favorites). i like the 11 aesthetically - but the toe sucks.
