In his last NBA game in 2007 a visit from LeBron James produced the first sellout in New Orleans Arena this season. The 17,623 fans who showed up perhaps noticed there was something else worth watching. Namely, their own team. David West had 27 points and 15 rebounds, leading the New Orleans Hornets to their fifth straight victory, 86-76 over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night. Later on, in the first game of the 2008, James who just celebrated birthday No. 23 – to match his uniform number – began the new year with another dominating performance and just couldn’t miss a shot – From 24 feet, swish. From 22, bottom of the net. From 21, good. From 20, count it. You can see it all here. James scored 32 of his 36 in the second half, including 19 in the fourth quarter and 12 in the final 1:50 to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 98-94 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night.
