LeBron James says he’s bringing back his pregame powder thanks to popular demand. The Miami Heat star says he’s decided to resume his one-time tradition of tossing powder into the air just before the start of games. He pretty much ended it by taking his talents to a different area code, but in his first visit back in Ohio he decided to try it again (see the video below). He’s depicted doing the chalk toss on the cover of the NBA 2K14 video game that was released a couple of days ago, that image almost serving as a teaser of what was to come this season. He tagged his NBA 2K14 pickup photo on Instagram with #Powder Toss Coming Back To An Arena Near You. James offered a simple explanation as to why that’s the case at Heat training earlier this week… “My fans, they wanted it back. So I’m bringing it back.” Back in 2008, Nike even released special Chalk shoes commemorating his pregame routine. Take a closer look below.
