James’ jumper at the buzzer in overtime sent the Cavaliers to an improbable 140-138 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. He finished with 37 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds for his ninth triple double this season and 64th of his career. He blocked Jimmy Butler’s shot with one second left and the Cavs had the ball out of bounds (after a timeout) on their own end. Jeff Green threw it all the way down to James at the foul line, who turned and faded over Butler to drain the game winner.
Many sneakerheads were watching the game hoping for another episode of the LeBron Watch program, but it wasn’t that night. The King did unveil a brand new pair of the Nike LeBron 15 in Navy and White, but that’s not one of the “PEs” that are meant to be released to public. One thing in certain… the shoes will be remembered for a long time and hopefully the Cavs will be able to turn their season around moving forward.
