The trend to make things lighter has definitely taken its toll on LeBron’s kicks. We have seen a lot of lightweight shoes created under the name of LeBron James, but somehow the numbered signature line has been on the heavy side. So we do have the lighter version of the VII created in the form of the Nike LeBron VII P.S. There are also last two Soldiers – Zoom Soldier III and Zoom Soldier IV – Nike’s lightest Mid basketball shoes incorporating 2 x Zoom Air and Zoom Air & Max Air cushioning systems, respectively. The regular version (V/1) of the current LeBron sneaker – Nike LeBron 8 – utilizes the standard approach, which means they are the same as his previous kicks. This year, however, there’s a option for those, who really need the lightest shoes. The V/2 model of the Eight uses a Flywire shell upper in order to reduce the weight of the shoe. We need to remember that it’s still a 360 Air Max platform so even with feather like body it’s still a 15+ oz construction. However, with the insanely high level of comfort and protection offered by the LeBon 8, I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world!
