LeBron James and The LeBron James Family Foundation hosted “Show Time, Meal Time, Family Time” a special event for underserved children and their families in his hometown of Akron and Cleveland. On Sunday afternoon, LeBron joined over 200 families at the University of Akron for a Thanksgiving meal and a movie, “Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium”. He could have just written a check, or perhaps done nothing, but that’s not LeBron James’ way. The Cleveland Cavaliers superstar and team leader not only wrote a check (a very big one at that), he also showed up Sunday for an unique community outreach.

Attn: manager of Labron James Foundation:
Thank you Sir for accepting our request! I was born in Goodman Mississippi about 20 miles from the childhood home of Ophra Wenfry. I have visited her mother's grave near Durant Mississippi. Today I am the President of Maranatha Bible College & Institute. P.O. Box 28112. Located in the basement of the Genesis Baptist Chruch. It is an inter-city Non-Denominational Bible school and college here in Cleveland Ohio. We have 40 intercity ministerial students, many who cannot afford the $50 Tuition per semester. We have a staff of 22 volunteer instructors, and my self as President. Most who have at least a Bachelor Degree and I have a D.Min.
We have been led to establish a campus. We have a contract offer on an adequate building to house the College of $90,000. We do have the resources to complete the project. We have been invited by the "Landerhaven Country Club" of Cleveland, sponsors a Phil-an-thro-pi-a benefit for 501 C3's Non-profits in our area. The event will be held December 7, 2009 at 11OO AM. We are allowed to acquire sponsors $1200. per table of 10. The check must be made out to the Non-profit we support. The Landerhaven Country Club is an exclusive Event planner in our area. All fund raised will be returned to the 501 C3 sponsored. Maranatha would love to participate and send our young ministry students and all instructors to this dynamic event. However, we cannot afford it. It would be a very good way to raise some funds to help us acquire a campus.
Sir, could you please help us out with a Tax Deductible donation. It will help us train and graduate at least 50 young Black ministers per year with a Bachelor's Degree beginning in 2012.
Thanks for your kindliness, you have shown throughout the world,
Dr. Benjamin Aden, D.Min
President, Maranatha Bible College & Institute
