Until LeBron James came to Cleveland the city was completly unknown for sneakerheads. However, after the Cavaliers drafted the teenage phenom back in 2003 and Nike signed him for a seven-year-90-million-dollars deal Cleveland’s sneaker scene has never been the same, neither has basketball. Although the city is still shadowed by other cities f.e. New York City – world’s sneakers capital – there are few who are trying to change that. With LeBron James playing in the neighborhood it’s not that difficult. This Saturday from 12 to 4PM, the “Cleveland’s Got Sole” event will take place at the Holiday Inn in Independence, Ohio. All proceeds from the event will be donated to a local Finish Line Youth Foundation. Expect to see many cool LeBron kicks, but there will be many others as well, including Braylon Edwards and Josh Cribbs game worn and autographed cleats. Check out the fliers below for more details.
