We are steadily approaching the launch of LeBron James’ 11th signature sneaker. That’s a pretty good amount of signature models, trailing only you know who, and that isn’t even counting his secondary Soldier series nor his Asia exclusives like Ambassadors and ST Lows. The LeBron line took off for good and gained mass appeal along with the arrival of Jason Petrie as the lead designer and his first creation – the LEBRON VII. Equipped with a progressive approach to structural problem solving and the technical know-how to execute those concepts effectively, JP possessed all the teachable tools needed to be a successful designer, but it was his more intangible sense of style and an understanding of what the sneaker-buying public wanted from a LeBron shoe that took the LeBron VII to new heights. With the LEBRON XI right around the corner, only 47 days left :), what a better way to prepare than to re-visit some of the most innovative designs in recent years… all side by side… feature by feature. If you wanted a detailed comparison of all shoes from the Petrie Era then head over to Sneaker News’ SELECT and soak in some all the extra information… or continue reading for all the pics.
