At the beginning of this month we’ve posted some info about the release of Upper Deck’s LeBron James Fruity Pebbles figure. This limited vinyl features King James wearing the Hardwood Classic jersey and the “Family Size” aka Fruity Pebbles edition of the Nike Zoom LeBron IV as he did on 12/1/2006 in a NBA match-up vs. Atlanta Hawks. Thanks to tsikenjoy we are able to see both memorabilia at the same time.

On Aug. 1, 2007, this limited edition figure went on sale exclusively at The National Sports Collectors Convention in Cleveland. LeBron is sporting the Cavs’ famous 80s orange jersey while wearing the Nike Family Size LeBron Zoom IV shoes (Fruity Pebbles). This edition is an ‘event exclusive’ limited to 500 and is available on a 5 days sale from 8/1 – 8/5 (retail price – $75).
When I saw those pictures from abt for the first time I was amazed and I knew I had to post them. Fruity Pebbles aka Family Size at its best! These shoes are still a dream for numerous Nike LeBron enthusiasts and collectors as well as other sneakerheads. Supposably there are 250 pairs made, however, they have never been released and they are available only on the underground market, which requires some serious connections. Anyway it’s always nice to look at something nice…

A week ago we reported that there was a rumor that Nike is going to release the Family Size aka “Fruity Pebbles” Zoom LeBron IV to public. It was going to be a limited release and we promised to provide the follow up of this information once available. Unfortunately yesterday very sad information surfaced the net. The Fruity Pebbles ARE NOT gonna be released after all. This information is confirmed from the same source that earlier claimed they will drop. As for the other online releases Orange HWC and Dunkman there is no change… they still should release like it was reported earlier. By the way below are few new pics of what we are missing… oh well.
According to the information provided by the NikeTalk member RockDeep this summer Nike is going to release 3 exclusive styles of the Nike Zoom LeBron IV. These 3 colorways are: Fruity Pebbles, Orange Hardwood Classic and Dunkman. The release is going to be an Online Exclusive with a limited number of 250 pairs of each model. The price will probably be around 250$. This is still not confirmed so stay tuned for more information once they are available. You can see all mentioned colorways on our Release Dates page.
Looks like from now on the Fruity Pebbles are more official since Nike has just added them to The Collection. The “Family Size” edition of the Zoom LeBron IV pays tribute to LeBron’s favorite cereal with a zany multicolor midsole/outsole/sockliner combo. Its milky white leather upper completes the theme of a sweet tooth’s dream. Below You can find a very cool wallpaper (second photo).
Lately it has been reveled that there are two different versions of a popular LeBron IV Player Exclusive called Fruity Pebbles. When LeBron wore this sneaker Dec 1 2006 his shoes had a white sole with colorful edges. Actual pair, which some of LeBron sneakerheads were able to get, has a solid color parts.
