Back in the day, Nike used to create special Birthday edition shoes (LeBron II-V) for King James, who turns 30 tomorrow. For some reason that noble gesture didn’t last long and ended along with the inception of the Christmas packs. Both dates are pretty close, but I still would love for Nike to keep it going as two separate themes. Sometimes Nike makes a launch close to LeBron’s birthday… in the most recent history it was Dunkman 11’s, Prism 10’s and Freegums 9’s… all of them dropped on December 31st. For the LeBron 12, Nike planned a special release of the “Trillion Dollar Man” colorway, which will be released tomorrow. In the last moment, Nike upgraded the shoe to the Premium version, which means a new style code (684593-430 -> 705410-430) and, sadly, a new price tag ($200 -> $220).
