This Saturday marks the release of the newest colorway of the Nike LeBron X. Officially a Pure Platinum / Black / Sport Turquoise style has been labeled as “Re-Entry” LeBron X. The shoe features a combination of platinum and speckled blue upper mixed with pink near the toe to create an explosion of bold color, inspired by re-entry into the Earth’s atmosphere from outer space. Now you have at least 3 different ways to call this shoe… Pure Platinum, South Beach, or Re-Entry. I still don’t get why people object the most fitting South Beach connection, but it’s you, the fans, who get to choose the proper name in the end. Check out a couple of new photos below. You can pick up a pair this Saturday for $180. It’s a General Release so it should be an easy cop.

I actually like the Re-entry moniker the most. It fits the theme they've been using all season and it's never really looked like a "platinum" shoe to me.
I always like when Nike steps us to give us a name. I would like them to do that more often, really. Re-entry is kind of cool, too. I just can't dismiss the South Beach influence so easily.
