Nike LeBron XII is Much Heavier Than it Actually Looks Like

During the unveiling of the Nike LeBron 12 there was no mention about the weight of the shoe… or maybe there was and I’ve missed it. Usually Nike is very good at pointing out the strongest features… last year the LeBron 11 was labeled at the lightest LeBron James signature shoes and… it actually was… IF you exclude the whole Soldier series. The Nike LeBron XII is at least 10% heavier than its predecessor and it’s expected to reach about the same level as the LeBron 9-10. It weights nearly 16 ounces (452 grams) in size 9. This is not groundbreaking at all, especially for Nike LeBron fans, but after the official unveiling I’ve had much higher hopes performance-wise and aesthetically the shoes does look light. Seems I was fooled by the concealed midsole and the lower placement of the Nike Swoosh (which I am not a big fan of anyway). I still believe that Nike has figured out the performance. Stay tuned for more updates on this matter.
