Nike LeBron Soldier 10 Comprehensive Overview

Very little is known about the Nike LeBron Soldier 10 apart from the fact that King James has been balling in these in the NBA Finals with some pretty good results. Folks at Nike Basketball haven’t gone public yet about the upcoming Nike LeBron signature shoe. Fortunately there are other sources.

First of all… it’s the first lace-less design… and a lot of straps. The Nike Soldier line is all about straps, but this time there’s nothing else and the whole lockdown comes from the anatomic construction and the straps of course. As a result the cut is slightly higher than usual. The cushioning setup is pretty much the same… front and back Zoom Air (more on that soon). The Soldier 10’s are pretty light too… just under 400 grams in size 9. That’s a great result.

As for the design it’s a LeBron James signature and there are a couple of elements that should remind you just that. The middle strap sports the L-crown-J logo with another one present on the medial side of the heel outsole. Underneath one of the straps is number 23. On the inner side of the tongue there are small tabs… one of them reads LRJ_SX_16/17 and the other one SOLDIER_TEN with a large X logo below.

I wonder if LeBron’s decision to use the SOLDIER 10 in the finals is dictated by performance or marketing. It may be performance cause I don’t see Nike taking advantage from the marketing standpoint. Either way… we’re in for a treat.
