LeBron James dropped to his knees and slapped the floor with his hand. He was exhausted and exhilarated… and one win from the NBA Finals. It took a lot from him. James took hits, spent nearly 47 minutes on the floor, shot a career record 37 shots on his way to a monstrous triple-double with 37 point, 18 rebounds and 13 assists. He is the only man in history to put up these numbers. “He just wouldn’t let us lose,” coach David Blatt said.
James will have just one day to rest up before the Cavs try to earn their second Finals trip – and the fifth in a row for James. It was a record night for King James. He passed Jason Kidd with his 12th postseason career triple-double and passed Karl Malone (4,761) for sixth place on the career scoring list in the Playoffs.
LeBron laced up the Double Helix PE in the first quarter and the Black and Yellow colorway of the Nike LeBron XII for the rest of the game. In the Hawks series he used 4 different Cavs PEs in 3 games played thus far. All of them are the regular LeBron 12’s, of course.
