After 6 games into the 2017 NBA Playoffs James seems untouchable right now. Last night, he destroyed Toronto with 39 points, six boards, and four assists on 10-of-14 shooting in 35 minutes. He was also 15-of-21 from the foul line and 4-of-6 from 3-point range.
In the meantime he added another set of records to his resume including passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (5,762 points) for second place in NBA playoff scoring history. He trails only Michael Jordan (5,987 points). James is also now the fourth player ever to make at least 300 playoff 3s in his career, joining Ray Allen, Reggie Miller and Manu Ginobili. This was James’ 89th playoff game with at least 30 points, which moved him past Kobe Bryant for second all time in that category (Jordan, 109).
In six post season games thus far The King laced up 6 different pairs including 1x Soldier 11 and 5x LeBron 14. Last night, he debuted a new Black and Red version, which used to be his go to colorway back in the day. That’s his 33rd different version of the Nike LeBron XIV for the whole season and 57th overall.
