King James Gave a Special Olympics Star His Game Shoes

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James exchanged a heartwarming moment with a Special Olympics star after Tuesday’s 89-77 win over the Boston Celtics. Before heading into the locker room, James approached 16-year-old Aaron Miller to give him his game shoes.

James first noticed Miller in the middle of the game, and paid the teen a visit on the sideline after he saw his story played on the jumbotron. He saw Miller was wearing a pair of his Nike Zoom Soldier 8 Flyease shoes, specifically designed for players with disabilities.

“I wasn’t able to hear the whole story because I was in the game and coach was drawing up a play, but I looked up at the jumbotron and I saw what he’s been through and where he is now. When I saw that and I saw his story, I just felt like I was a part of him. I just showed him my respect and gave him my shoes. It was well-received by him.”

Nice move, LeBron. The self-proclaimed “best basketball player in the world” may be slowly becoming the “nicest basketball player in the world.”
